This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “I have for sale an early Willys CJ2A. No title, doesn’t run, but has a super nice body, frame, etc. plus a rarely seen factory metal top. These 2A’s usually have the body eaten up with rust, everywhere but the desert southwest, but this is an exception. Would like to sell it just like it sits, but would consider parting, depending on what you need.”

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4000
Sounds like there’s been lots of work on this.
“Runs great!! I have over 5k into this thing with receipts to prove it. Engine is a fresh rebuild. L134, new pistons, valves, 2 sleeves, valve guides, oil pump, electronic ignition, rebuilt carburetor, resealed transmission transfer case front and rear end. new brakes all around, seats, steering refresh(needs gearbox) tie rod ends, drag link. 2.5″ rancho suspension. modified rollbar and soft top. I’m forgetting a ton of upgrades or replacement parts. call to setup a time to check it out, $4000 OBO Text me, thanks.”

(05/02/2013) This jeep has been disassembled.
“I have a 1948 CJ-2A very well used. I bought it about a year ago and when I got it stripped down it was more than I wanted to take on right now. The pictures are from when I bought it — it has totally been stripped but can still be towed with the A-Frame in the front. I did get the engine running before I stripped it. Vehicle is sold as is with no title.”
This may be worth a look.

It’s rough, but appears to have a VEC body.

The tail gate is gone (or never had it). The windshield looks 3A. This needs closer look to determine value.
