Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1946 Willys Jeep CJ2A (the first Jeep CJ). This jeep has a CLEAR TITLE and the original Willys 4 cylinder 134 cubic inch ‘GO DEVIL’ engine RUNS EXCELLENT. 26,000 ORIGINAL MILES. All the electrical works excellent including all the lights, guages and turn signals. Needs brakes and new tires if you want to drive it. It runs great and will move around easily. 3 speed on the floor shifts good and clutch is good. These CJ2A’s are worth $20,000 restored (look it up on nada.com). A really neat jeep project that will hold it’s value and you can fix it up as you go along. Drive it the way it is or restore it as EVERY nut and bolt and even brand new steel bodies ($2800) are available. Call before 10 pm 317-8 six 2-9 5 3 9. I can deliver this also!

“Its a 1947 Flat fender JEEP WILLYS CJ2A
it has a chevy 283
a dana 20 transfer case
dana 44 front and rear axle
I bought it as a fixer upper and as a little mud bogger, but I just do not have time. It is not in perfect shape by any means but it is very drivable and very fun in the mud. It will need a new radiator but that is the only immediate thing that it is going to have. It has a soft top and soft doors. And yes it does run, and well.”

This appears solid, but has had some body work done.
“I have a clea jeep running driving clean title almost all original except for tires and wheels and seats. I have the full enclosure almost new. has complete original running gear. I drive it regularly. there is one issue and it is that the starter acts uo here and there. I also have the rear mount pto setup for it. not installed yet. just takes a couple bolts. ready to drive clear title in my name.”

“1946 CJ2A Willys Jeep body. This ad is for the body only, tub, windshield (glass still good), grill, tailgate, fenders, and hood.
Is it rusted? Yep. Is it a semi-hack job? Yep. Is it worth $300? Yep.
It can be salvaged if you want to save it, too much work for me. Or you can slap it on your running gear and wheel the dog snot out of it.
Again, just in case there is any confusion, ONLY the body is for sale, and the price is $300. If you can’t afford it I understand, just don’t waste my time with lowball offers.”
Needs work. Check out the tire size differences on the rear.
“I have a 1948 willys jeep mud toy. It has a few problems needs new starert, and has been sitting for a few months. i was able to pull start it but it did not stay running may need gas lines and cab cleaned out. i would consider trades, camper, atv,??? let me know my number is 2399803983,call text email me with any questions i have over $2000 in this jeep and know that i wont be able to get that out of it but any offer that are resonable will be considered thanks!!!
