About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“19xx willys jeep . Runs and has title. With so many Willys experts messaging me about year and model, it is a 70+\~ year old jeep. Need brake lines. Has rust but not terrible. Has hard top and hard doors. Only reply to offers, will delete all others. If post is up it’s available”
“1948 Willys military Jeep. Rhino lined on inside, aftermarket wheels and tires and a couple original wheels. Body is in decent shape. Pto winch. Hasn’t been driven in a year or so, but it does run, just may need carbs cleaned to run perfect.”
“1948 Willy’s CJ2A 4×4 Clean title Great for ranch vehicle/play/hunting/ or a restoration project Original motor, transmission, 12 volt conversion, new battery mileage unknown – odometer and speedometer do not work Looks rough but sound”
“this is a 1946 willys lower 2wd 450 hp 355 chevy with a 350 auto it has sawy bar on front and a anti roll in the back so it runs like a big go cart it is kind of a rat rod”
“1948 Willys CJ2A Jeep with an M38 windshield. 289 c.i. V8, 4 speed transmission with overdrive, 4WD heavy duty axles, tilt and power steering, power brakes, hydraulic clutch, winch, front lockout hubs, posi-traction rear axle, dual exhaust, Dunlop RV Radial Rover tires 31 x 10.50 x 15 tires w/good tread. Bolted on roll bar that’s easily removed. Windshield is cracked, fuel level gauge don’t work, and exhaust has a leak on the left bank. Engine and seats came out of a 67 Mustang. New crossflow radiator, thermostat, and belts. Runs and drives great. There is a little rust under the RF fender at the mounting bracket which could be repaired or replaced. Street legal and it has collector plates. Title in hand.”
“Doesn’t run and drive. I bought this 1947 Jeep for restoration work, however could not get the work started due to tight financial conditions. So selling it. Have title in hand.”
The more complete jeep has a gear shift that appears to the driver’s side of the transmission gear shift. That could be a crankshaft PTO engagement shifter. The hardtop looks similar to a Porter and Reed, but the front of the roof doesn’t slope down at the correct angle. I’m not sure what top it is.
“This is for both Willies Jeeps 1946. One title. Use for parts or get a title and use both to build one. The second one has a electric hydraulic pump that goes with”
