Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1948 Willys Jeep. This jeep has been in my family for over 30 years and used on many hunting trips and rides in the country until she just got tired. She sat for approx 8 years before I got her and decided to make a project of fixing her up. Been doing this for the last 2 years and just ready to move on so she needs a new owner. She is about 85% complete and now needs somebody who can fine tune and finish her off. List of work done below.
– Motor completely rebuilt be Vance auto.
-Transmission and transfer case opened cleaned and re-sealed.
-Differentials drained and fresh fluid.
-New clutch, pressure plate,backing plate and throw out bearing.
-Steering stabilizer and all new shocks.
-New Carb, Fuel pump, Fuel tank, distributor, Battery and other small parts.
-Tires are in great shape.
Own a piece of history and make your own family memories. My loss your gain.
Please no low ball offers I do not have to sell but will sell for a fair price.”

“its a 47 willys cj2a mostly original , has had alot of body work and not done to well , but it runs and drives good has fairly new brakes and a new master cylinder , new locking hubs , all new wiring and guages new wiper motors and switches , fresh oil and filter , fresh gas with sea foam , , still needs some work but it will hit the trails as it is , has a new 12volt starter and alternator , all of the original parts and some new spare parts as well as the service manual are included ,it does not have a top ,new parts and modification parts are still available for these jeeps including overdrive units , has lots of potential at a fraction of the cost of a side by side and with a piece of americian history these are climbing in value and not to many chances left to get a real flat fender jeep left , has currant registration and a clear title in my name ,”

“This jeep has it all. Fiberglas tub with rolled liner sitting on a original frame. Spring over conversion Dana 44 front and rear with 5.38 gears, spool in rear and lock rite in the front, with 4-wheel disc brakes with Wildwood master cylinders and pedal. 1967 Chevy small journal 327 350 horsepower model only been on 4 trips since it was rebuilt 3 years ago. Bolted to a brand new rebuilt turbo 350 transmission with a recently rebuilt Dana 18 transfer case. Fully caged and attached to the frame. 3 suspension seats (child’s in rear) bolted to the cage with 4 point harnesses for all. 10,000 pound winch (I know it is over kill) 35 inch tires on M/T knock offs Ram assist steering with 1 ton cross over steering.”

The tub, fenders, tailgate and grill will fit a CJ-2A or CJ-3A. The windshield is for a CJ-2A only. The soft top will fit a CJ-2A or MB WWII Jeep. The roll cage will fit the CJ-2A, CJ-3A and MB and the roll cage will fit inside the soft top.

“This jeep was my project in high school about 5 years ago. It’s been kept in the garage since then. Starts and runs like a champ, the engine (original 4 cylinder L-head) was rebuilt just before I got it, so very low hours. We had the transmission rebuilt, shifts like the day it was built. Body and paint (’46 Harvest Tan scheme even though this is a ’47 by serial number) is in excellent condition, interior protected with color matched bed liner. Hat channels are like new, no rust.
