About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“Garage kept for past 15 years, less than 5000 miles on rebuilt motor (flat head 4), transmission, transfer case, steering box. It has had new stock springs and up graded brakes to 11″. Tow bar and 3000 lbs winch comes with it. Nice seats out of a Honda accord.”
“1946 Willy’s Jeep with a Chevy Small Block V8. Jeep has been partially broke down to restore but I just don’t have the time to do it. Will consider a trade for a running Jeep or other 4×4 vehicle.”
“I have a old cj2a frame for sale. Comes with an engine and transmission. The engine has the right compression. I never had the chance to try and fire it. Engine has a new head gasket, and water pump.”
“i am selling these jeeps for my dad. 1947 was last one to run. 1946 perhaps for parts. i believe these are to be cilivian models. Please contact me for more info.”
The body is interesting. It looks to me to be a late 70s/80s(?) reproduction tub, perhaps one of the earlier attempts of MD Juan to make a MB/GPW body? The body has M-38, CJ, and MB elements. Probably not too many of these around.
“Jeep Willys 1948 4×4 Very Nice for a project. Originally I wanted to work with this, but I have no time to build it. See pictures front and back axle are intact. just to sell this parts by parts is already worth for the price. Price is $1,800.00 cash only you need to haul it. No title but I have deed of sale. Please no low ballers.”
“This is a willy’s 1946 CJ2A. had it garaged most of the life of it, until the last two years. Decided to sell it before it get any worse off than it is now. It has only surface rust as of now. It has a 4 cylinder engine in it and that’s all I know, don’t know if it is original or who’s engine it is. I drove it around a few years ago and it started flowing gas onto the ground, never worked on it to get it going again. Brakes need work, they don’t work”
“1947 Willys Jeep CJ2A, as parts rig or fix and drive its almost there. I have done a lot of work and installed a lot of new parts; aluminum radiator, gear reduction starter, complete clutch system to include linkage, transmission main bearing, battery, tune up and oil change along with other misc parts. Parts included that have not been installed; all windshield frame seal and glass seals, driver side electric windshield wiper kit, a second new gear reduction starter, the original starter and an original siren. The original 134 4 cylinder engine has been replace with a 1971 134 F head 4 cylinder engine, It runs and drives but will not stop, brakes are good but needs a rear brake line. Has not been licensed for over thirty years and has no title, to many projects and wife says something has to go. $2000.00 call Scott if interested or have questions.”
No long a column shift, this has other VEC elements.
“I have to make room for other things so my willys jeep cj2a (civilian) has to go. Its been in many parades and car shows. Its really at home in the mountains or desert. Its a real head turner and it will put a smile on your face. Its amazing how many people tell me they had one of these when they were a kid, if that were true the road would be full of them. This is the first year for the civilian model and yes that is the original color. Many new parts but mostly original refurbished .”
“1946 Willys CJ 2A. Recent body off rebuild. 225 V-6, T-14 3-speed tranny with synchro first gear, Dana 18 transfer case all freshly rebuilt. Swing pedal conversion with brake and clutch master cylinders on the firewall. Power steering with Saginaw conversion and open knuckle Dana 30 front axle for short turning radius. 5.38 gears front and back. 11 inch brakes and stops on a dime. 2 inch suspension and 2 inch body lift. 12,000 pound winch, rear gear rack. New vinyl Besttop. Full roll cage, high back bucket seats, center console, stereo, CB, heater. This is a very solid, nice, old-school flat fender.
Spare parts also go with it including a complete Warn overdrive (just needs a new final drive gear), a Dana 44 rear axle, new in the box 5.38 Richmond ring and pinon gear set, and 4 new 16 inch black 5-spoke rims to fit your new 33’s.”
