Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Both 1947 and 1948 appear in the ad, so I’m not sure which is accurate. This includes a rear PTO and gearbox.

Engine rebuilt .040 over. New bearings, rings, valves, block and head decked, cam brgs, freeze plugs, oil galleries rodded, carb, and fuel lines. New gas tank. Motor mounts. Windshield seals. New glass. Heater hoses. Clutch and pressure plate. Temp gauge. Battery and cable. Jeep starts, runs and drives and stops. I have receipts from all work done and the title in my possession. What does it need : wiring harness, brake system inspected, spring kit. Tires are cracked but hold air. This is a nice Jeep to cruise or climb mountains. what ever you like. I don’t need 4 Jeeps.”
