Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “I have a 1946 Willys CJ2A Jeep. The Jeep was restored within the last 2 years but wasn’t fully completed. Every part has either been rebuilt or replaced the original 4-Cylinder engine, transmission and transfer case have been fully rebuilt. It will need minor carb work as it has a hard time starting and idling. ”

“Great, nearly original 1946 Willys CJ-2A. 12 volt system. Less than 2,000 miles since the professional engine rebuild, including hardened valve seats. Drag-link steering upgrade. 30% overdrive. Nearly rust-free, but minor rusting near tail gate. Tow bar. Odometer shows just over 18,900 miles, however unsure of exact mileage. Soft Besttop has hail damage. Seldom drive it these days, but highly drivable and fun. . .”

Engine runs.
“1946 Willys CJ2A. Has been stored in basement for years, and a barn before that. Engine is not locked up. Original motor. Will start and run if you manually pour gas in carb. Would be an awesome project, I just never found the time to put into it. Prefer text or email. Clean TN title in hand.”
