About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“Update- 11/23/2015! Engine runs beautifully! Fired right up, no knocking, idled great! Motor alone, running, is worth $1500-$2000, not to mention the rest of the parts. Carburetor may need tuning up but I had it at Idle for over an hour! Transmission looks rebuilt although the top shifter is broken off and will need new one (I believe about $160.00 new). I am open to any and all trades or cash sale! I do have the vin plates for this jeep as well. Continue reading →
Only 260 miles since complete restoration
TOP Converts to Half Cab, Full or Canopy
Removable Tow Bar included with safety chains
Beautiful restoration in Candy Apple red. This Willys was kept indoors in dry New Mexico climate. Family owned since 1951. Pristine original condition. Only modification is upgraded turn signal regulator. Starts and drives great. Steering is tight. Suspension is very smooth, does not rattle. It is a blast to drive! Full original white soft top has never been off other than to replace it at restoration.
Gauges lights all work and had a recent tune up. Over the years we did 3 complete body off, nut and bolt restorations and it has always been Candy Apple red and it is completely original, engine, trans, etc. Each time we restored it to pristine condition and had a new top and upholstery redone. Never used offroad. Tow bar.”
Parts jeep listed as a 1958, but based on the front and rear ends it is likely a 3A.
“flat fender jeep, 4-134L motor, t-90 transfer case, T-18 transmission, Dana 44 rear and Dana 25 front axle. No seats, gas tank or windshield frame.
$650 have a title”
“1950 Willys Buick V6 Brand new BFG mud terrains, one extra wheel and three extra mud terrains with 80 % tread extra front axle set up to convert to disc breaks, extra transfer case, extra rear axle, cage is high as I am 6’5″ but is only bolted on. Everything works well lights gauges motor breaks etc…”
Nick’s selling this 3A with an original Blackhawk plow.
“For sale is a 1950 Willys CJ3A Jeep, I have a clear title in my name for this. It has an era-correct rare Blackhawk plow system. This was one of the better plow kits for the Jeep as it included a full undercarriage plow frame, which prevented the Jeep frame from getting bent. The frame is all solid without any rot. She starts right up and runs great, clean burning with no smoke. Tires are a little dry but I’ve driven it down the backroads without a problem. The body is pretty solid with some patch panels, and the rear floor is in unusually great shape. The only problems with the Jeep is the master cylinder has a leak which needs to be replaced for brakes ($50 online), and a 6” external oil line is leaking below the filter. I just haven’t had time to get to it. Clear glass windshield like new. Also this has a clean soft top to keep the weather off while plowing, and was used to plow a golf course in Michigan. Here’s a list of everything I’ve done to the Jeep:
-Planed head and gasket
-Complete carb rebuild
-Clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing, pilot bushing
-Fuel pump/lines
-Brake line
-Spark plugs
-Wiring
-Ignition switch
-Refurbished starter
-Engine belts
-Radiator hose
With all the new parts it’s essentially a turn key running Jeep. The new clutch system shifts smooth, and does not pop out of 2nd gear; the tranny and transfercase is nice and quiet. All the fluids were clean when I changed them. This Jeep is ready for plowing this winter. Feel free to call/text me anytime. Would also trade for an M35A2 Deuce and a Half in good shape w/military tires & PTO winch, preferred non-whistler D turbo and rear canopy”
“Great project jeep. 1949 CJ-3A with a F-Head engine, engine runs but needs carb work and a new fuel pump. Only serious buyers need to contact me. Price is fairly firm.”
