Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This Custom Jeep was built in Riverview in the 60’s. It has a body(looks like a Land Rover)that is very thick metal and was made for the woods. The engine is a stock Jeep F-head 134 CI that has been partially disassembled. Included in this sale is the 50’s Jeep chassis pictured with another compete drive train. Neither Jeep has a title. With some effort you can have a one of a kind woods /road machine. You could not come close to building this quality Hunting buggy for this money

Jeep Willys Roller Mixed Up Parts $600 Mountain Top, PA
Listed as a CJ-5 Frame and Axles, with an M-38 24V F134. Which is listed as still retains some of the 24V stuff. There is some hope here it’s a mix of stuff, but parts is parts. Price if OBO and a little bit of room, you might do OK here. But its becoming Winter out this way, threat of first snow has been issued, so window is getting tight to move this stuff prior to Winter setting in.

Hello all, im selling off the engine, trans, tcase and whatever jeep willys m38 parts I have. The engine is locked up , have all but 3 lifters free but I just picked up another engine and im not planning to restore it.
This is an L134 and came from my m38 but will work with cj2a, and cj3a jeeps. The bock is a 1950 military era casting and it has the correct head casting. Included is the m38 intake, mil fuel pump, oil filter, 24v generator, waterproof 24v dizzy, lift hooks, intake tube any plumbing or fittings that I don’t need from the engine.
Its sitting inca mid 60s cj5 frame with axles. Rolling and I can deliver loacally. $600 obo! Im in pa 18707. I’m looking a some 16″ wheels 2 to 5 of them depending. 7.50×16 tires. Canvas top, 1/2 top or summer top, Holly 1904 carb, cj2a or cj3a air filter and hat. M38 gauge plate with 12v gauges, vacuum wipers, tailgate spare tire mount. Maybe other stuff ?
What is the going rate for these? Not sure what this even fits.
I see them a lot, don’t have a use for one other then a Wall Hanger, I would buy one in the $50 range would be my target for a Wall Hanger is my thinking.
I never post these since there are lots out there it seems. But if you are in the know I’m open to learning more.

This looks like an older listing by the Photo file names I grabbed, still lost on how to tell when a listing was posted when they no longer have the “listed ### ago” still not even sure how they gets this under “listed”. So just for that reason this is more of a science experiment on my end to learn more about tail gates and WAG on prices if you are game to share.

Rough but might be some good parts here. What’s the main difference on a nice rig sitting for 30 years, its needs everything gone over and replaced mechanically most likely anyway. But I do think you should buy the best rig you can afford to start out with at times. Having the cab on here might be OK under that. Clean this up with some Scotchbrite and Comet and see what you have here. Contender for the next Epic Willys Adventure! If the frame is good, I like this one for sure.

I have had jeeps for over 50 years. In that time, these are the two that I kept. The CJ 2A, would be a good project for someone. It has a very reliable drive train and the body is decent. The CJ 3A, is one of the nicest, most original models that I’ve seen. At one time in its life, it was painted John Deere Green, but it does have the original drive train and mostly original parts.

#1 PNW4WDA Race Jeep $7000
This lacks a title and is not road legal. It runs and drives. I rebuilt it two years ago and raced it a couple times in 2024. It is fun, fun, fun to drive! It has a built Chev 350 with plenty of power. The body is a very rare fiberglass Parkette racing shell. The frame is widened five inches. The front springs have been reversed, while the back springs include a sway bar. It starts right up, runs and stops. The only issue is that it can overheat. I *think* the issue is that the brakes need to be adjusted as it may be fighting them. It includes additional desert dogs and other tires, along with some rims. There are extra seat belts and other parts. An unexpected health issue forces sale.
#2 1949 CJ-3A Parts Jeep built on a 1973 CJ-5 frame. $2000 The fullcage is built for the body and attaches in six spots to the frame. This jeep does not run, but does have a title. It will need to be trailered. This is a custom build with outboarded springs in the rear and reversed springs in the front. It has a rebuilt V-6, but that was rebuilt ten years ago. It has not been started. It has a T-98 transmission and a Dana 20 transfer case box with Dana 18 gears. It has a Dana 44 locker in the rear and an open Dana 30 in the front. The body is a modified fiberglass Bobcat body with a custom fiberglass hood and fenders (both lengthened about 6 inches). This includes a never-mounted tan Kayline top. There’s a lot of value there. 1956 DJ-3A Convertible $4500 This early convertible two-wheel-drive DJ-3A is pretty near stock with a very solid body and front clip. The convertible DJ-3A model has the solid back, 2/3 1/3 front seat, column shift, and a few other unique features. This does not have the original convertible top (there are only two or three left in the US). It was originally purchased out of Patterson, California, by an Apricot farmer. He added a couple features including a very rare vacuum tank under the driver’s side to support the dual vacuum windshield wipers. This also has the original early King-Seeley 0-10 speedometer seen in early CJ-5s and CJ-6s. This runs and drives, but could use some alignment work. The brakes will stop, but they could use some work. The original paint (Presidential red?) was covered over by the original owner to a warmer red/orange. I took this up to Alaska as part of the Alaska Or Rust vintage jeep event in 2017, which is why it has signatures on it (I got folks to sign it along the way and we added stickers). I had no plans to sell this, but an unexpected health issue forces sale. $4500 You can see it running here: Today I discovered a leak in the electric fuel pump, so I will have to fix that.
#4 1962 FC-170 Tour Jeep.
The cab of this jeep is from an original FC-Tour jeep. This cab is extremely rare, one of five or six. This is a project. These FCs were originally built in Colorado for the San Juan Scenic Jeep Tour Company.
You can see two restored FC tour jeeps here: https://thefcconnection.com/vacations_with_the_tour_jeep.htm. My FC Tour Jeep sits on a 2000 Ford Explorer Chassis. When I bought it, it ran, but barely stopped. I was told it was ready to be driven on roads. However, once I spent time with it, I discovered that there were numerous defects that made it unroadworthy and unsafe. So, I was forced to rebuild the cab area. I rewired it, installed hi-range-low-range capability, redid the steering and master brake up, and much more. It was not a project I was looking to undertake, but I made good progress until I ran into health issues. I bought this with a three-axle trailer and am willing to sell it an additional $5000.
This pic shows (top) how I was going to rebuild the bed using the existing roll bars, (middle) how it looked when I bought it and (bottom) what I believe to be the original passenger setup.
Joe sent over this nice looking CJ3A that he saw locally and was able to go and inspect the vehicle and it looks really nice, its listed OBO so probably has some room here and I would agree its on the higher range for today’s market.

Noticed this 1950 CJ3A for sale on the road side that you may want to post. I checked it out and it’s pretty solid, no major leaks, pretty complete, and body work is kind a crude but effective. It runs an drives well.
