About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
Definitely some others treasures here in the photos, this could just be a few parts, but could be just what you need at times. Another DJ hanging out in the back ground.
Seller’s Description
1949 CJ3A Willy’s Engine rotates. Floor is rusty. Should make a great rat rod. Replace parts of floor with expanded steel. No title. Sold for parts, as is.
“This is a 1949 Willys CJ-3A with the 4-cylinder gas enigne and a 3-speed manual transmission. It shows 13,103 miles though true miles are not known. It is bright green with black leather-like seat covers. This Willys was restored in the 1980’s and has been stored in a heated shop ever since.”
“This Willys has been in our family for over 40 years. We recently replaced the carbuerator, spark plugs, wires, and battery. Runs and drives like it should with some oil leaks. No top, doors, etc. $13500.”
Not sure if that is a serious price. At first I thought this had a “TMC” bed extension on the back. But, it’s so long, it may just be a custom addition. No description provided.
UPDATE: This was for sale in Fresno. It is now for sale in Sisters, Oregon. I suspect the seller is a new owner and is now reselling it, given the limited description. Note that the plates in the pics from the 2023 ad and present ad are the same.
“Killer old 51 Willys custom. 327 w/turbo 400 auto trans. Runs great.”

“1952 willy’s jeep. Runs drives and stops good, 318 Mopar motor with 3 speed automatic transmission and a 205 transfer case, stretched 8 inches sitting on an 80s toyota chassis. Comes with extra seats that are in better shape. Definitely built for an offroad toy.”
“This classic Jeep was one of the first civilian jeeps made just after WWII. Originally aimed to put workhorses to pasture. Only made from 1949-1953. This is definitely a head turner. New tires in the last year, carburetor, hood latches, fuel tank, gas line, accelerator spring and brake work. Interior is in great condition. Tow bar included. My son put blood sweat and tears into this, but needs a daily driver. This Jeep qualifies for Hagerty classic car insurance which saves you a ton of money.”
