About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
Kinda looks like some M38 parts mixed in here. For this one its more of an hit the Easy Button and enjoy the ride and fix to your level as you go. A running and driving Jeep is more fun then a project that never gets done. There is no point in just having one anyway, have a driver and a project or 2!
Information from seller:
1952 jeep Willy, all original, 4 cylinder, great shape very clean, starts and drives great, current reg. $12,000.00 firm -IF STILL LISTED IT IS AVAILABLE!
Willys Jeep Parts 1950’s $150 Pine Island NY near Mtn. Creek
Wow lots of neat parts here, could use some of this on my Plow project! But in general there is a lot shown.
Information from seller:
Lot of Jeep parts. Look to be mostly pickup parts. 3 plow frames (1 is smaller probably for a CJ), Box of plow parts(pump, control valve, etc), radiator, u bolts and complete springs, interior(arm rests, glove box, steering wheel). Generator, starter, left fender, 2 air cleaner assemblies, good used ignition parts. Pick up in Pine Island, Town of Warwick, NY
Sold as is, so block, head, pan, looks like crank is in it.
Not much to go along with this so it’s a gamble for sure, L134 can be re-sleeved, Willa Dean has 4 new sleeves in it back to factory spec. Sometimes you need a few to make one.
Information from seller:
Take out Willys Jeep motor can be used in a CJ2A, CJ3A, Truck or Jeepster. Sold as is just as seen in the pictures. $375 or best offer.
This is an interesting one – listed as a 1953, with potentially a Navy history (given the data plate). From an estate, but is running (supposedly a daily driver). Looks to have a later F-head engine swap (?)
Interesting hard top, maybe a winch, tire chains, tow bar, etc. – lots of potential goodies here. Will be interesting to watch this auction to see how much this goes for…
Video available on auction site as well (and seems to run quite well.)
Has a new body and looks straight. Pretty detailed rig. I put rigs like this in the get in and enjoy category, it may not be some historic all original, but its still tons of fun and for the price point.
Information from seller:
This is a Jewel. Has a new body; New gauges: converted to 12V; brakes are new; fuel tank converted to plastic. Swing, spare rack added. Has original 4 cyd motor and undercarriage. Owner outdid himself in restoring this vehicle. It was restored for his personal use so it is top notch.
1954 Model M38-CJ3A $3,500 Parrish, AL ESTATE SALE 7-10 to 7-12
Time sensitive on this one and it may not be there, but listed as a M38-A1, it might be a CJ3B with the spare on the side and the headlights look fancy, but it looks to have a full floating rear out back and the hoop deal on the side of the tub, if anyone goes let us know what you find here.
Information from seller:
This is part of an estate, so please see the blue photo.
Seller has this and another Willys listed and some other stuff in general, all look really nice and might be worth a look at these. Not many pictures and I had to crop the one from the other post. Nice Hard Top on this one.
Information from seller:
This jeep’s motor and powertain was restored 10 years ago. The body is original and contains rust. Message me for additional pictures and any questions.
So here is where I don’t do very well and why I always defer to the experts to correct and help me along to figure these out, with only 3 pictures posted and a short video I don’t have all the details for myself to determine if this is a CJ painted OD or if it is a M38. Post says they have several hoods, the hood could be in the mix since they have several. For a ’47 the grill looks earlier to me anyway for it to be a ’47 CJ Grill. I bet folks can tell a lot about the back shot with the fuel can area and tire mount. So I’m going with Willys Salad to be on the safe side on this for the following reasons and happy to adjust.
Here are things that lead me to think it’s a M38:
Rear Tire Mount vs side mount.
Windshield frame, looks like it had the lower mounted wipers.
Front Grill light cutouts.
Headlight Bezels look a little different to me.
Air cleaner and oil filter is much more robust looking to me. (Photo not posted it was a video in the post)
Here are things that lead me to think it’s a CJ:
Smaller filler for gas tank,
Missing some brackets and lights around the tub.
Hood says Willys on it.
Has the step on the side.
Conclusion:
Enjoy it, drive it, have fun for whatever it turns out to be, I like it, pretty solid rig looks well cared for so have a look if in the market.
As always feel free to inform me of how off base I am, always happy to learn about these rigs.
Information from seller:
Titled 47 Willy’s Jeep. Runs and drives. The tires are almost new military tires. Comes with lots of spare parts that I’ve kept over the years. I have a couple of extra hoods and a grill for it. If you would like more info and pics I can provide that to Serious Inquiries. I won’t respond to ” is this available”.
For Sale: 1951 Jeep Willys – Classic Project Vehicle Step back in time with this iconic 1951 Jeep Willys. A true piece of American automotive history, this vintage military-style rig is ready for restoration. It does not currently run, but it’s all in one piece—a perfect foundation for anyone looking to take on a classic rebuild project.
(I’m on the fence here on this one, it’s posted as a V35U but it looks to be missing a lot of things and I’m surprised by some others if they are correct, so leave this to the experts for some guidance, how was the radio stuff amphibious for example)
Super rare 1953 CJ-V35U military Willy’s Jeep. Only 1000 of these jeeps were issued for the marine corps to be radio communication jeeps. These jeeps were designed and built to be amphibious. This one is #699 out of the 1000 that were made. – Engine runs great with no issues. Has strong oil pressure.
