About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
This appears in good shape with a few updates. This jeep is listed as a 1948 CJ-2A.
“Hard to come by Willys 1948 CJ3A Jeep. One piece windshield, Flathead 4-134 L Head Engine. T-90 Transmission. Dana 18 transfer case. 410 Axles. Engine runs great and Transmission and Transfer make no sounds or noise. Drive it home $3500.00 Or Best Offer.”
(08/31/2009) It’s got some brake problems and sounds like a project.
“II have a 51 Willys. I have owned it for around 4 years and just have not got around to fixing it up like I would like. It has been under cover the whole time I have owned it to save it from the rust. I started on cleaning up the body, I grinded it down to metal on most parts and and sprayed rust fix and primer on it to help it. The inside has mostly surface rust but the floor board on the driver side will need replaced at some point. I put new intake mainifold, valve covers, fuel pump, and rebuilt the carb. The picture I have does not have the carb on the engine, but it is on now. I have an extra hood and fender. It does have stock axles under it. Like I said it has been awile since I have done anything with it. If you have any questions shoot me an email, text, or phone call. I’m asking 2500,”
(06/20/2010) It looks like a very good restoration.
“A VERY CLEAN BEAUTY, TOTAL FRAME OFF RESTORATION, REBUILT MOTOR, EVERYTHING NEW (PARTS, SEATS, ETC) CLEAN TITLE, PROFESSIONALLY RESTORED, ASKING $15,000.00 OBO MORE PICS AVAILABLE.”
This looks solid. I can’t tell if it needs a paint job on the side or if that’s there by design.
“This jeep runs great. 51 Willys with a 327. Edelbrock intake and carb. Dana tranny & transfer case. rancho suspension. New Optima red top. new seats and new top. everything works. Fun to drive.”
There’s some value here. The engine’s been rebuilt.
“FOR SALE: One Willys CJ-3A that just needs someone to finish it. This unit has the original tailgate, and the dash is almost original. The engine in the frame is a Chevy 4.3 V6 with zero miles on the rebuild. The brakes are new, and has a leaf spring lift with new shackles. The transmission is a T90 attached to a Dana 18 transfer case. The axles are serviced, and have 5:38 gear ratios. The registration is up to date (non-op) and Ca. smog is not needed. $800.00 OBO.”
No pics provided. This is a real steal, if it is the real deal!
“Complete stainless 3 a body kit tub fenders grill hood windshield frame seats rollbar tailgate all latched and locks gas tank safari rack bumpers will trade for trail bike or quad 2800 cash obo.”
