This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1953 Willy’s 3B High hood body with a 3A motor. Drive train functions well all gears forward/reverse. Brakes ok however the starter went out needs replacing. Motor turns over and runs with new starter. As stated above the motor is the L head and not the F head. Hard top and doors comes with plow.”

“I bought this Willy’s Jeep in 2006 in the hopes of restoring it when I retire, but I have more on my plate than I can do now. This Jeep was running shortly before I bought it, it needs a new starter and that is supposed to be all. I didn’t try and get it running as I was going to do a frame up restoration. The motor frame and transmission are all original. I do have brand need restoration/shop manuals that I will go with the jeep. It is located in Alamogordo, New Mexico right now.”
