Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1940’s vintage Willys for sale. Prior owner used this vehicle for snow plowing around his home for 20 years or more before his passing. Since then the vehicle was stored in the garage for the past 6 years, only being placed outside the garage within the past few months.”
The dashboard suggests it is old than a ’57.
“I’m letting to of my 1957 Willys. It has the 134 f-head engine. Motor turns but has low compression on cylinder #4. No major problems; Is in fair shape and just needs a little attention. Would make a great off-road or farm vehicle. ”

“This is a 1954 CJ-3B with an F-134 Hurricane 4 cyl, T-90 Transmission and D18 Transfer case. Starts instantly. Runs, drives, shifts, and stops.
Frame:
Overall excellent. Some rust in spots but no rot or evidence of repair.
Body:
Looks good at a glance but does have a lot of patch panels and bondo. Depending on your plans the body is solid enough for a “driver” quality Jeep but beyond that it is questionable. This would be a good candidate for a new repo tub or better donor tub. My guess is the existing tub would be more effort that it is worth should you remove all the bondo, patches, and try to restore to original. Tough to tell for certain until you get into it though.
