Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. (93/14/2016) Runs and drives. Not sure why the front clip is elevated in the front, but the grille is bolted at the bottom to a taller than normal bracket.

(03/12/2016) 0Not quite all original, but I’ll overlook that on account of the hurricane rims.
“All original 1953 CJ3B flat fender Jeep. Complete and in excellent running condition. Tight running gear with no leaks. Original F-head (overhead valve) engine that starts easy, runs strong, and doesn’t burn oil. Tub is sound with no rust out. Locking front hubs. Tires are Goodyear 33×12.50R15LT on Al rims. Also included are the 5 original 16″ wheels. Included is replacement windshield, wipers, and misc. parts. Newly recovered seats. Clear title. A good desert rig or farm utility vehicle.”

“I have for sale, a 1953 Willys Jeep CJ-3b. It has a great running F-Head 134 with new head gasket, water pump, Solex carb, mechanical fuel pump, hoses, distributor, plugs, wires, oil and filter cleaning, I also have a electric fuel pump wired inline on the fuel hose. Could use a tappet adjustment and I will do that, once the weather warms a bit. It has been rebuilt by the prior owner and has only a few miles on the 30 over motor. Starts and runs strong. (02/08/2016) This was built as a dunes jeep.
“1954 willys cj3b. has been stretched to 92 inches. primarily built to be used in the sand. but has been licensed and insured for the last 15 years that i have had it. engine started as a mid 60’s ford 428 cu in……..as found in the kr500 shelbly mustangs. i took it down to bare block and built it to 435 inches with, 10.5 comp, aluminum edebrock heads, gear drive, comp solid cam, aluminum roller rockers, edel..broc performer intake etc. ended up with 500 hp. the trans is a built to the hilt c6 auto with b and m holeshot 2400 stall converter. has 5.38 rears front and rear. i originally built this motor for a shelbly close mustang or late 60’s fairlane to run brackets…..but work got in the way and never happened. needless to say this jeep runs on the street and in the sand very well. has msd billet distributor and msd7ml-2 ignition. which you can change rev limiter in seconds by chip change. will twist 7000 rpms…..but i run 6400 chip, car has gobs of torque.
