About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“1954 Willys CJ3B
Has parts title
There are 3 different CJ3Bs, they all go together.
The green one has the best Tub, fenders, grill, and frame but no motor.
The red one has a F134 Hurricane motor that turns over, with a good hood.
The black one has a decent frame, and is mostly complete with a Go Devil motor in it.
All three have complete drive trains, ie axles, trans, t-case
All three go together for $1700obo, all the parts are there to make one good complete rig.
Also have other parts available, Thanks for looking!”
An M-606 that runs and drives. Could be a good find. I bet it doesn’t last long. I wish there was a better closeup of the gov plate. Thanks to whomever emailed the link to me.
“I have a very rare 1964 M606 military CJ3B for sale. It has the original M606 data plates, front tow hook, headlight guards and swingout windshield. It runs and drives. No willys or jeep markings. It has the original seats, and I have a clear title. Asking 2,500. if interested call”
The upper portion of the rear wheel area has a rail rather than metal. As Bill notes it may have had a luggage conveyor installed on it.
(08/23/2014) “CJ3B Willys Jeep. To much to list must see. Beautiful. Total restored customized, disk brakes, power steering, tilt wheel and much more. Over $20,000 invested. “
“1953 Jeep CJ3B High Hood
All new on a nice body and frame.
Rebuilt motor and trans, new springs, shackles, brakes, brake lines and park brake cables. New fuel tank and lines, wiring, windshield and all rubber seals. All new steering. Runs down the road at 55. New seats and top. ”
(11/26/2014) The V6 in this jeep isn’t original. Some items don’t work. Overall appears solid.
“-1954 Jeep Willys
-Rebuilt Dauntless 225 V6, believed to be the original motor
-Has est 6400 miles on rebuild (past owner kept written record)
-Rebuilt original manual trans, 6400 miles on trans
-Odom reads 6600 miles as these are the resto miles on the entire rig with exception of the motor and trans and they have 6400
-Has been sitting last 12 months, we clean old gas, carb, and changed a few minor parts to make it run well
-This drives like a 1954 CJ of it’s day
“’61 Willys CJ-3B – very rough body but it’s complete, never been repainted, the orig engine is stuck, but an extra good running motor is included, extra windshield frame included, factory hard top, rare factory PowerLok diffs F&R, this is a 1-owner Jeep with original PA title, I have the 1961 bill of sale/dealers order showing pricing and options, 22k miles. ”
(10/24/2014) Seller got this fixed up, but has some physical problems entering and exiting.
“I bought this a few years ago, the engine had just been overhauled and had about 100 miles on it. I sent it out and had the entire thing gone over. New generator, starter, regulator, entire brake system, New seals bearings on drive train, tires, glass, spare tire and holder, and the list goes on. It is all original. Door panels and seats already done. New glass, but I need to install it, also has a soft top. Drives great and runs even better. I did the entire Jeep in Black and red because I was going to keep it. You can paint it whatever color you want.
After putting the doors back on I found I can’t get in or out of it as I am handicapped. Will trade for an antique car to restore, 1930 or older, and prefer a 4 door but 2 will do as long as it seats at least 5 people.
I never planned on letting this go, so most all the money was spent on mechanical work. Body was sanded and primed but I liked the flat black and just left it.
I said it is all original, but I did make a few changes. The floor starter is disabled and has a push button on the dash, and I refused to re-install the vacuumed windshield wipers. Also I was in the process of installing a spare battery with a switch on the dash, The switch and wires are with the car.”
