Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “This is a pretty good running old jeep, been a Lot of work done to it, but it needs a little more to be pure, it’s got brakes, low and high range and 4X4 works great, locking hubs, big tires on 15″ wheels and a good heater. It’s still a project. The body has been removed and sand blasted, new floor and cargo panels replaced, it’s all in primer but some body work is still needed. The frame is strait and rust free. come look at it and make me a decent offer – No Low Balls – will piss me off ! I got good money and a lot of time invested in this thing.”

Mechanical restoration (engine, carborator, cooling system, transmission, transfer case, axles, brakes) conducted in 2012 by a professional Willys restoration shop. New fuel tank and lines, replacement windshield frame, new rear seat, new seat covers/foam. All electrical systems (wiring, generator, starter, distributer, etc) rebuilt or replaced with manufacturer’s equivalents. 1200 miles since completed. Registration current. Garage kept. It’s pretty rusty.
“Parting out 1961 CJ3B Willys, I am keeping the grill and hood, unless I get a I can’t say no kind of offer. It has a 134cu. in f-head engine, T-90 transmission, Dana 18 transfer case, Ross steering, Dana 44 rear end, Dana 25 front end. The body is pretty well cancered out, but maybe you are a magician with sheet metal. I have 2 windshield frames (no glass) that are in pretty good shape.
Call me make me an offer, discount for multiple items. Good parts for restoring an old 2A, 3A, or 3B and even the early CJ5.”

Has some funky steps on the side and a few other mod, but may be a good price.
“Selling my 1954 CJ-3b to free up some garage space. Runs and drives great, I drive it all around town. Has new battery, tail gate, tail lights, best top seats all the way around, freshly rebuilt transmission and transfer case, brand new 33×12.50×15 tires with new white rims. Has 52,xxx original miles and a clear title. Perfect cruiser.
