Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. No pics of the engine, but the seller notes it is an L-head rather than an f-head.
“For Sale is a 1953 Willy’s CJ-3B. It is not totally original. Hood and tailgate are aftermarket. Engine is a L-Head. I have had the vehicle for many years with the intention of restoring it. The Jeep is titled in NC and runs good. This was a project vehicle and I have well over $4200.00 invested. The Jeep has new wiring, tires, pressure plate, clutch, shocks, brakes, master cylinder and lines, gas tank, drive shafts, yokes, seals, gauges, tail lights and much more. The body is in good condition for the age with some areas of rust. The manual lockout 4WD is absolutely awesome. The engine is very strong.”
