This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. I suspect this is a body replacement put on a 1948 chassis.

(12/17/2014) Engine is stuck.
“Howdy Folks, Up for sale is whats left of a 1953 Willys CJ3B. Its someones doodle bug project. Not sure what his plan was. What I do know is it has a F head engine that is stuck. Has a three speed transmission attached to a high low transfer case. The frame is bobbed just in front of the rear arch and the rear axel is welded to it.
What is interesting is the two unusual power take offs. One on the back of the transmission and another dozer gear running off the parking brake drum. I have a pallet of spare parts that go with, like extra head, transmission, transfer case, some sheet metal.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** was $8000.
“Only 4,200 miles great shape. It has a PTO driven winch in the front and an PTO on the passenger side.Has an original non directional spare tire.Everything works and rust free.Price is firm. It was used by a Fire Department and stored in a heated garage that’s why it has such low miles.”

(09/30/2015) This is incorrectly listed as a 1947. Even if the year was correct, it isn’t all original.

“This has been something of a nastagia project for me so bought her and have enjoyed restoring the little cruiser.The kids in the neighborhood enjoy riding around in the circle and it has been great therapy for me.She is ready for paint and I don’t have a booth here in Utah.So you can pick your own color.She does need some new seats.I thought of using some from the s parts yard or some Cabelsa boat seats.It has a roll bar and Bikini top.Runs really good.I am looking for a road bike to do some traveling this summer.I have a Yamaha royal Venture needing a starter and new Stator.Will do some trading in that aspect.”
