Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “For sale 1963 Willy Jeep. Colorado jeep great body and frame. Aluminum small block v-8 runs but needs work. This is a rare high hood model jeep and would make a great project.”

“Up for sale is a true barn find Willys! 1950s CJ 3B. Think it has the bigger L head engine but not positive. It is very rusty & has no title. I have no papers of any kind. A friend of mine found it in a barn in upstate NY while picking. He said they hooked a battery to it and it cranked but they did not try to start it not knowing the condition of the oil. I can verify the motor turns freely & is not seized. It’s the original 6 volt system which I don’t have a battery for. It’s all complete including the rare/custom half cab hard top with doors. The one door is off but should be an easy fix. Has a cool in cab heater. Original drivetrain including twin stick transfer case. It rolls fine once the tires are filled up. They have been holding air for 2 weeks now. Great for parts or restoration. Call or text Jim if our serious. Delivery may be possible for a fee if you don’t have a tuck & trailer once paid for. Rusty & crusty but original & complete Willys!! Complete with the bull dog hood emblem!! $1500 obo. Cash talks come get it!!”

How about that passenger heater!
“Barn Find, very original, needs a full restoration. Engine runs great, was replaced in 81, has brakes, shifts well, clutch good etc. Has some rust in the passenger floor, the wiring is scary, needs a complete restoration. The hard top and doors on this rig are probably worth as much as the Jeep, in amazing condition. Clear title, cash talks, I can trailer it to you if you live within a reasonable distance for the cost of fuel.”

This solid CJ-3B has a new body.
“Frame off restoration. New body, complete rebuild of original engine with less than 200 miles on it. Roll cage installed, new top, painted original green. Has original seat frames with extension for neck support. Has plow with original hydraulic pump. Only changes from stock are that the front end is from a CJ7 (with disk brakes, dual cylinder brakes and better steering), 12 volt system with alternator, electronic distributor, better air filter, new gas tank.”

Parts jeep.
“I have a 1953 cj3b for sale. No motor or transmission. Body is rough frame and both axles are in good working order. Right front leaf spring is missing. Grille is in good shape. Missing one gage out of the dash. Steering column and box are good. Selling for parts only. No title. ”

“53 willys cj3b runs great new battery plugs oil change good oil pressure brakes work most of the gages and lights work. electric over hydrolic 6′ plow works good manual angle has 6 like new 33 buckshot mudders frame mint body ok. trade Honda 350x atc or 250r or tri-z 250 80s chevy gmc long box trucks $1800. I have replaced the seat and painted it black since these pics”

“1953 CJ3B High Hood Willys
Well maintained, electronic ignition, updated carburetor, updated oil filter system, newer HD radiator, 12 volt, newer 4 cyl. engine, all else is stock. Brakes recently worked on, custom front seats with lap belts and alternate 5 point belts, rear bench seat. Excellent running condition. PTO winch, full roll bar, removable vinyl top, fold down front windshield. Have original rims. Newer set of spoke rims and tires on vehicle.”
