Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “This is a 1957 willys cj 3b to my knowledge. It is a funn little thing l-head 4 cylinder with the three speed. Fun little trail rig ive fixed quite a few things on it sense ive owned it. It really doesnt need anything…. New battery at the beginning of summer new headlights, it has good tread tires they Are dry rot ive been driving on them for two years now and they hold air just fine never have them go flat ……. Body isnt great has bondo on it this would be a great trail rig or farm runner never road legal…. Just testing waters and see what i get for offers.. Dont have to sell it … Cash talks though”

(10/23/2013) Here’s a 3B that won’t last long.
“Selling the old toy. Family of five has outgrown it and we purchased a replacement. The top in the picture has a hole in it now…the mice got after it in the barn. It is being advertised on Hwy. 19 at D&R Four Wheel Drive. Stop and check it out. First $4,500 takes it!”

“I have a very rare and hard to find (at a decent price)1953 Willy jeep ,the motor has been rebuilt, transfer case rebuilt , and transmission has been rebuilt , it needs a carburetor ,and a top , the frame from front to back is solid , its like bran new !!tires are good and I have 4 more tires that go with it”

“Dad bought this new. I’m the 2nd owner. Have title. Runs and drives. Needs brake work. Body is functional w/no holes in floor pan. Frame is in excellent shape. New radiator. Best offer w/reserve. Drivers door and rear hatch are available.”
Needs wiring.
“1954 Willy’s CJ3B Jeep with high hood. Has original 4 cylinder overhead valve. New body work done with new paint. New tires with aluminum wheels. Original wheels included. Jeep needs new wiring as it was removed for body work.

(09/13/2013) It’s got some rust.
“Don’t know the year and has no title. Was running great in 1986, and has been stored under cover or in a barn since then. Has some body rust, but only minor surface rust on frame and drivetrain. Trans. won’t go in gear, but transfer case seems to shift normal. Motor turns over but has no spark. I just sold the property where this was stored and loaded it onto one of my trucks so I would like to go ahead and get this sold (it is outside now). Local delivery may be possible.”
