This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Some body work required.
“1953 Willys CJ3b. This might be a parts jeep or could be restored with alot of work.
Engine runs, no brakes, body tub rusted out all floor pans are gone.
Frame is in good shape. Rear cross member rusted out. Complete jeep mostly Original ,
has plow pump and a heater for winter. Comes with a title and keys
If you were to rebuild it would need a new suspension breaks body panels and a lot more but this jeep might be a good start.”

“I am selling my 1953 Jeep Willys CJ 3 B with the high hood For $5000 obo. It has a brand new stock Solex Carburetor (might need a little fine tuning), updated gauges, new service maual, BFG 31 X 10.5 R15 tires.”

This looks solid.
“Has had: Major tune-up, carburetor overhaul, new coil, new battery, major brake overhaul. Set of street tires included, new winch, new fuel pump, new alternator, radiator flush and all new fluids, new exhaust system. Switched to 12 volt. 15,000 actual miles.”

This runs. It has a winch. And contrary to what the seller says, this doesn’t have a 3A tub.

“1961 cj3b Jeep, 350 motor, 4 speed transmission, Dana 18 transfer case. good tires, does not have power steering. does ride like a 61. soft top in great condition. the jeep is not perfect but its getting there! however i don’t use it enough to keep it. $5000 obo”
It hasn’t run in 25 years, but there might be some value here.
“This is a complete 1953 Willy’s CJ3B. I bought it intending to restore it, but never got to it. It has all original differentials, transfer case transmission and engine. The differentials and transfer case are in good order. The engine ran 25 years ago when someone last drove the vehicle. The top of the transmission had been removed and the inside is very rusted. Likely the transmission needs replaced. The body is pretty good. The back part of the tub where the back seat sits is rusted. There is surface rust in other places. The vehicle is rough, but restorable, and almost all there.
Asking 1200.00 or best offer. Might consider a trade, but would prefer cash.”
