Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. The seller incorrectly labels the 1953 as a CJ-3B rather than a CJ-3A.
“i have two willys jeeps, both 4 cylinders
the 55 cj3-b has the better hurricane motor, has matching title and runs and drives but needs the brakes refreshed. it was used 4 years ago as a small plow jeep for a driveway. all the plow stuff is removed. has full enclosed cab with doors, body is okay but all there, some floor rott under the seat on driver side like all of them. its not the prettyest thing but its all there and like i said, runs and drives really good. motor is super smooth and does not leak a drop of oil. already 12 volt converted.

the 53 willys has a really good body but some floor rott under the seat on driver side like all of them, good seat frames and a really solid windshield frame (which is rare) the glass is cracked but they always do that due to the flex in the WS frame. has original tags on the dash, new tires, “aftermarket” front and rear bumpers, otherwise mostly original
no title so its a “parts only” sale on this one. motor does not leak, i have not tried to get it running yet, motor turns over just like it should tho. would be awesome resto or rat rod project

“What you are looking at is a rare 1954 willys cj3b jeep. It comes with a powerful PTO winch. The engine is the original engine and runs perfectly with no smoke and great oil pressure. The transmission is also perfect. The jeep has been restored. It could use 2 new rear tires. 4 wheel drive works perfectly. The jeep has no title, but I do have a bill of sales and can write another when you buy it.

UPDATE: Back on eBay. The new pic shows this has bow holders…. very unusual …. After pondering the dash, which looks fine, I think if I were to do the dash like this, I would tack on tabs to the back of the dash and then drop in the gauge plate so that is sat flush with the dash.

Here’s a great looking CJ-3b. I think the price is right on this one. It should go quick.
“Willys CJ3B for sale in great working order. I think this is a 1954 Willys but I will have to verify. Starts, runs, and drives great. This was my grandfathers Jeep and I am selling it for my folks. Jeep was restored by my uncle and he did a great job but it is not a concourse restoration. Engine has been rebuilt along with all engine components. “Up for Auction is a 1964 Willys Jeep CJ3b for Parts or Restoration.
The jeep has not run in a few years.
Missing Carb.
At some point someone put a replacement tub on this jeep.
The tub is in very good condition for its age.
There is minor rust, and there are a few small dents.
No creases in the sheetmetal.
Seats are in good condition, although the drivers seat could be recovered.
Has drivers side mounted heater, with defrost.
Has a plow with pump.
Kayline aftermarket soft top is in very good condition.
The material is still flexible, not dry and cracking.
Comes with spare gas tankTires in decent shape.
Dualmatic hubs.
Some rust through in the front fenders.
Stainless dash.”
