Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This needs some work, but does run. NO title.

“Shes a 1953 cj3b, runs like a champ with an all original F head motor, 4×4 works great, three speed. its lifted just enough to clear 33s on 18 inch procomp wheels. The whole brake system was just rebuilt from the master cylinder to the drum internals. Comes with a boat load of paperwork logging work done to it sence 1953. The story behind the jeep: it was bought in 1953 to be used as a snow plow up in chicago, until i bought it and brought her down here to texas 4 years ago. i have the title in hand. text me for more pictures at 214-797-9646 would trade for classic trucks, rat rods, projects, 1948 1949, chevy pickups, ford f-1.”

(02/27/2012) “UPDATE: 1953 Jeep is Running and Driving! Have title. Also have 1947 Willys. Can do a package deal if interested in both.
$2500 takes both!
Don’t have time to finish the project but it will make a great vehicle.
The vehicle does have the normal rust but it is is in overall good condition.

(09/12/2012) This looks solid, though it has dents on the passenger side. Seller is moving and must sell.
“1953 Willy’s CJ3B jeep, original F head engine, 6 volt electric system, runs great. Transmission pops out of second gear on deceleration but works fine otherwise. Moving out of state and can’t take it with me. Asking $7500.00 obo.”
This needs work. It has a rare fiberglass CJ-3B body and front clip. Unclear if the chassis was originally a CJ-3B or not.
