This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Check out the Serial Number Tag. Seriously? The seller can’t spend 30 seconds to google “cj2a” and verify what they own? (and expect someone else to spend $5500)? Seriously?

“I have a 1954 CJ3B jeep for sale. It is in parts, not a running jeep. Does not include motor, trans, or transfer case. I have two frames, the stock frame and a 1992 YJ rolling frame that I was going to install under this jeep. The body is not too bad, it has some rust through on the floor under the gas tank, it’s not very bad and very much so repairable. This would make a fun rebuild/restoration project or a parts jeep.”
