This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Brett spotted this find. It runs! Replace the hood and grille and this might be a nice ride. What is that mounted in front of the grille along the frame?

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3200.
(06/12/2010) “This Jeep is the high hood model formerly containing the Hurricane 4 cylinder engine. It has been converted to a 231 Buick V-6 aluminum block engine with low miles. It also has a 4 speed Muncie transmission coupled to a Warn overdrive. It has new 1250 x 15″ tires, a new radiator, new starter, new clutch, new brake lines, new water pump and many other extras.”

“Yellow, only 32167 Miles, Original parts perfect condition, new tires and transmission, seats are being replaced soon, will sell as is if requested. Comes with wench and soft top apparatus, Same as truck in picture but original black seats are in now, with black rims. “1953 Jeep Cj3b also known as the high hood . This one has a Saginaw steering conversion and a v8 conversion (ford 302) . It has a new top and nice paint . Great start on a project jeep or a perfect ice cream getter !!! First $2800.00 takes it.”

(06/13/2010) The seller says they must sell it. An old trailer goes with it.
“56 cj3b willys has new trans, motor was rebuilt some years back, new carb, new coker tires i work to much and no time for the old willys i was fixing up but need to sell, also have a old jeep trailer in parts to go with it call with any”
UPDATE: The seller contacted me and wanted to update the listing. This CJ-3B has an OD rather than a PTO. Also, the seller has a good deal of images here. Finally, the engine is out, so it doesn’t run. This looks like it would make a great stock restoration projection.
