This runs and includes an Overdrive. It still needs some work.

“’54 Jeep. small block chevy it RUNS!!!, 3sp w/overdrive, 538 gears, 32 inch tires. minimul rust (I have fixed most of it and have floors and working on the rest. Intsalling new gas tank and fuel lines and seats and should be done with those soon. Its drivable now, but needs a few thing finished and I am working on them. I got this from the original owner. I listed it a few months ago whwn it was not running ans was rusty….now it is MUCH better!!”

Despite the paint job, this looks like a great price on a running CJ-3B.

“I have a 1954 willys cj3b jeep up for sale. The jeep is all original except the tires, bucket seats, roll bar and a few other little things. She starts runs and drives everytime, nevery have had any problems. It has the original 4 cylinder motor along with 3 speed tranny with the high and low. There looks like $500 worth of value here.  The seller has provided links to a variety of pics.

The body is straight Has not run for years looks like it needs new wiring and a good tear down, clean up, and reassembly. . If wiring the lights is all that’s left, then this might be a pretty good price. The body appears to be a replacement body, so it’s likely in very good shape.

This looks pretty stock.

“This is a 1963 Willys cj3b in very good condition. This jeep was in one family since 1978. It is almost rust free with just a very small spot where the spare tire hanger bolts on the side. It runs and you can drive it but the brakes will need some work. This cj3b is very rare in this condition. All the numbers match on this jeep, and it has a new set of military type tires on it. This looks in reasonable condition.  I do wonder what gun fighter shot a hole in the hood of this poor, defenseless jeep.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $13,995

(06/24/09) This is a nice looking CJ-3B, however I don’t think it will fetch the asking price.  I’m gonna guess that the tranny is a T-15. I had a T-15 (with a built buick 225) in my last jeep and thought it was fine for both racing, jeeping and the road.

“1953 body with a 1948 frame, Complete frame off restoration,  All new body panels replaced except tub. Front/Rear differential completey rebuilt. Buick 231 Motor, completely rebuilt with 20 over TRW pistons and off road cam with only 2 hours of run time.  New Alum. High-Rise intake manifold. New Holley 2 barrel front float. Complete custom rewiring. Electronic distributor. Chromed valve covers and Alternator. 12V high flow air compressor in engine compartment, with accessories. Electric fan. Ceramic coated headers. Transmission from later model 68 3 speed jeep, geared low. Power steering.”
