1950_cj3b_broomfieldUPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1200.

It’s got what appears to be a CJ-3A or 2A grille that has been modified into a CJ-3B grille.

It’s a running CJ-3B for only $1200.  It’s worth a look.

“Great hunting vehicle. Has 8000lb ramsey winch, runs good needs a little tuning.”

“I have a willys jeep for sale, I am guessing it’s about a ’52, it comes with a hard-top, it has been converted to a Ford 6 cylinder with 12 volt and HEI ignition”

This looks like a nice CJ-3B, but the pics aren’t too close up.

“1953 CJ3B High Hood in great shape. Has 302 Ford engine that runs good. Check out the photos and that pretty well shows the condition this rig is in. 3Bs in good condition are getting tough to find.”

UPDATE: Was on eBay. **SOLD**

Ed sent me the link to his ebay listing and I’m glad he did.  “Woodchuck” is a rare beauty!

“Purchased by Dorothy Owens for her summer camp in Wardsboro, Vermont on June 26, 1963 from Willys Jeep dealer E.J. Roberts & Son, Inc. of Jacksonville, Vermont (see sale receipt image below), this historic 1963 CJ3B is as close to true showroom original stock condition as likely almost any vintage Jeep existing. “Woodchuck”, as the 3B is now affectionately known, has been extensively documented, photographed and published (more on that below). Woodchuck, with only 9400 miles (continuously garaged since new and never driven in winter), is in its original Treebark Brown Poly paint (paint code 231) and original green upholstery (trim code 208) on the seats and tailgate chains.”

1960_cj3b_richmondIf it needs a couple body panels (due to rust), then I’m not sure I’d describe this as being in great shape, however it looks straight and appears in stock condition.

“1960 Willys Jeep C J 3-B, four cylinder engine. Runs and drives great, 4 X 4. GREAT SHAPE! New gas tank, new tires. The jeep has the original 1/2 hard top on it. It needs a rust panel or two, but still is in good shape. The frame is great, brakes are good, lights work, drives great. 1954_cj3b_missoulaUPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4995.

This appears in good shape.

“The Universal Jeep CJ3B was introduced as a 1953 Model by Willys-Overland, the company which had produced some 360,000 Jeeps during World War 2, and almost as many civilian Jeeps (CJ”s) in the seven years since the war. This particular one is a 1954 Model in very good original condition with the original F-head “Hurricane” 4 cylinder engine. …. This Jeep in all original except for the roll bar and wheels. It has never been modified, still has 6 volt system, original seats etc. and is very solid, no rust holes of any size. Runs and drives great with new tune up, new battery, new rebuilt brake master cylinder and new windshield.. This is a very desirable collectors item that is an easy restoration or usable as it is in original condition. Jeep was dark green from factory but was painted white years ago. Jeep is being sold with clear Montana title. Other Jeeps and cars for sale alpinemotors.org ”

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay

The trailer and winch come with the jeep ….. I saw this ad and immediately knew this was from Texas.  Can you name the tell-tale sign it’s from Texas?  I’m just fascinated that I’ve only seen jeeps for sale with the back seat mod in Texas.  I guess I need to spend some time down there to see exactly what people are looking at from up there.

“I have owned this Jeep since 1994 and have taken good care of it, keeping the oil changed and keeping it greased and tuned up. Has good AT tires, fairly new paint and the Jeep comes with an 8 foot hunting high rack, rack can be easily removed. Comes with a cable remote control Warn Electric Winch. Manual lockout 4×4 wheels, the head lights and horn works. It is not street legal, was legal about 5 years ago. The seat covers needs to be replaced. I have had the Jeep up in the high hills of the Texas Hill Country, no rust and not used a lot over the last few years because of less demand for 4 wheel drive on the ranch we were on. We run a game hunting operation and need room for 4 or 5 hunters at a time to be put out for hunts. Not much wrong with the Jeep, just don’t need it that much anymore. Couple hundred bucks and a lot of work could make this one street legal again. This one is fun to drive and very dependable….”
