“I have a 52 wills cj-3b high hood. I had the jeep running about a year ago when i got it since then the starter stoped working so at this time does not run. The frame axles and engine are all in good cond its a good solid base to start a resto on. The body as you would expect is in rough shape but the frame looks good. all the running gear is there and it would make a great project.”

1962 CJ-3B Mansfield, Tx **SOLD**
UPDATE: This one is back. Note the reference to the mileage has been left off, though there is a pic of the speedometer. As Ed and Mitch both excellently point out, the speedometer does not appear to be original, so it’s likely that the mileage is under reported.
The owner has set the starting bid at $8,000. This jeep comes with a pretty good story posted on the CJ-3B page. The speedometer on this CJ-3B shows mileage of 7,150 miles.
“This auction is for a 1962 Kaiser Willys Jeep CJ-3B Jeep and trailer. I spent three years getting this jeep; the story is on the link below. The thrill of the chase was intense, but I’m selling it to conentrate on my business and my family. It is a one-of-a-kind vehicle; probably one of the nicest old Willys flat fenders in the country. It turns heads and makes thumbs go up!”

1958 CJ-3B Hartford, Ct $1700
It appears this CJ-3B has not tailgate. I’m not sure if that’s a customization or not. I have not heard of CJ-3Bs that have no tailgates. The body looks pretty rough.
“1958 Willys jeep CJ3B. Needs a new Body. It has lock out hubs, Superlift suspension and 32″ Coopers. It runs with an auxillary fuel tank and needs a carb rebuild. Engine is nice and quiet, transmission shifts good, 4×4 works. I was using it in the woods untill a front brakeline broke. Good candidate for restoration, or a woods beater with a little TLC beforehand. Email – cpc69@aol.com. Phone – 860-455-1013”
1960 CJ-3B Rector, Pa eBay

The History MB-CJ3B Willys-Viasa
Here’s a good history of the MB-CJ3B Willys-Viasa with a variety of pics.
“In the late 50’s, Willys Overland gave the rights to the V.I.A.S.A. firm to allow them exclusively to build the Univesal Jeep in our country. In 1959, the first permit to import parts and machinery is given by the Trade Ministry, in order to assemble the first units in the V.I.A.S.A’s factory located in Zaragoza. These units weren’t launched until 1960.
It seems that that permit let V.I.A.S.A build the CJ3B model, with different engines and features from the original American model …”
