Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This is a good looking CJ-3B with some important extras (OD and better brakes).
“1953 Willys CJ3B, V6, power steering, overdrive, hubs, oversized breaks, new tires, also includes spear tire/gas can rack still in box and misc. parts, good condition.”

The windshield looks a little unusual on this CJ-3B. It appears to be well maintained.
“This is a 1956 jeep willys cj3b, it has a F-head 134 engine, T90 tansmission(3spd, 4wd works like a champ, superwinch hubs. dana44 rear axle, exterior recently painted and has a bedliner coating in the back as well as the front of the interior of the tub…. Its missing two guages and needs a little bit of wiring but its a nice jeep for someone to tinker with but it is a blast to drive, the serial number is 32720 and in doing some research I found out that this jeep came from the west coast which explains why it has very minimal rust.”
This is a nice rollcage. The seller suggests it could be used on other flatfenders, but the bends in the front near the dash would look a little odd for low hood flatties.
“For sale roll cage only. fits cj3b high hood, powder coated, with full sand pad on the top. plenty strong. may fit other flat fenders? 600.00 obo”
Obviously there is surface rust, however I suspect most of it isn’t too deep. It’s got some nice updates, including updated steering and column, new top, winch, and tires/rims.

There have been some mods, but otherwise this looks in pretty decent shape.

“UP FOR BIDS IS A NICE AND CLEAN 1954 WILLYS WITH A FORD 289 V8 AND AUTOMATIC TRANNY.IT HAS FULL ROLLBARS AND SEAT BELTS FRONT AND REAR.SITS ON TSL SUPER SWAMPERS AND ALUMINUM WHEELS.LIFTED 2 INCHES .IT HAS DANA 18 T CASE AND DANA DIFFERENTIAL WITH DETROIT LOCKERS.THE TIRES HAS APPROX 100 MILES.IT HAS B AND M SHIFTER.IT IS PAINTED TURQOISE AND PASTEL GRAY EXTERIOR AND INTERIOR WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE GAS TANK BEING PINK.”
This appears to be a great deal on a late model CJ-3B.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5250.
On my way to look at the jeep in Wallowa, I spotted this jeep just outside of La Grande, Or. Apparently, it is all stock except for the tires, top and brakes. However, I noticed that the front bumper has been chopped to the width of the frame, so I suspect there might be a few other minor changes as well.
I’ve included several pics below (it was behind a fence, so my image options were limited).

Here’s a great price on a running CJ-3B. It shouldn’t last long.
“The jeep has a power take off winch, Packard steering, Chevy 265 V-8 Engine that runs good. All tires have tubes in them and have the original owners manual. The jeep has been in the family since 1962 but can not find the title. Let me know if you have questions”
