Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1962 CJ-5 Willys with F-4 Hurricane. Jeep runs strong and all gears/4WD works. It is a good resto project. I also have an extra Chassis on wheels/tires which is in good condition. Asking 3000 OBO. I do have a title for the Chassis. Selling it all together.”

Craig share this one. It’s got a Meyer top. There’s got to be $500 worth of value here.
“Jeep was driven onto my trailer to haul home. Than driven off the trailer when o got home. Quit while is was moving it to a parking spot and now I have not been able to get it started. May be out of gas. I did not check yet. To cold out. It definitely ran rough when running. I am guessing it is due badly for a tune up. Plugs, wires, cap, etc. Just an old up down and manual turn blade. Jeep is a 4 cylinder. I am not sure on the year.”

It runs. Looks like the top and doors may be in good shape. Includes a working plow.
“For Sale WITH TITLE is a 1959 Willy’s CJ5 with extras. I bought this a couple months ago to build it, and now we decided to sell our house. So, I have nowhere to go with it! I’m a little miffed, but it is what it is.
With a little squirt of gas into the carb, even on the coldest days, this little gas rocket fires right up. I don’t know much about it being I’ve only had it for a couple of months and havent really touched it outside of adjusting the brakes so it would role better. What I do know is, it needs to be completely gone through. It’s been bastardized by more than a couple people by the looks of it. The good news is that the motor runs well (will need some carb work to work best), and it has a couple of additional things with it.

“4×4 works
New gas tank, New plugs and New fuel lines. Runs good but needs a carb job.
New brakes and brake lines but No Emergency BrAke.
New 15″ Goodyear all terrain radials.
Bikini Top and tow bar. Lights work. Speedo works. Rollbar is loose at the bottom and needs to be reattached. The rear bed area floor has been replaced with galvanized metal but has surface rust.
Plenty of rust but I’ve seen worse.

The caption labels this CJ-5 a Tuxedo Park (rather than claiming it has a Tux park package). Like the 1954 press photo from a couple days ago, this one has the white windshield frame, too.

This has some unusual mods. It looks like it was updated with some DJ-5 parts.
“1957 willys jeep solid , runs great”
The seller indicates this is a 1959-60, but the 0-8 King Seeley speedometer suggests it was early 1956. The seller also has a fiberglass body to sell.
“YESTERDAYS PROJECT.. Too many projects going on, this one has to go. The Jeep drove to it’s present resting spot, it has seal problems, I think it was leaking oil badly. It comes with the plow, and I also own a Fiberglass body that I need to sell. I checked and thought it was the correct wheelbase, but needs to be checked for sure. The price is for the Jeep, not the fiberglass body..”
