About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
Brett spotted this find. It appears to include an overdrive, so this might not be a good price. It even runs.
“Very cool Jeep CJ-5, Runs and drives but needs a tune up. Way fun to drive and would be an awesome muddin’ machine. This jeep is rare as in its the old military style. It is a manual and has the 3 little shifters along with gear shifter. i dont know much about it come and buy it today!”
“This is a 1955 Jeep CJ5.. VERY RARE and Very nice conditon Hardtop and doors. HY-LO hyd plow, running F-head motor. I purchased this Jeep as a plow vehicle but have moved on to other pursuits. 2 known issues… The Carb floods the engine. The gaskets are either dry rotted or the carb needs to be rebuilt or replaced.. New ones are $100.. The frame is cracked right infront of the passenger rear wheel. It can be patched, ($50) but a Good condition used frame is included in the price. Brakes work great. The jeep can be ready to plow for $150… Bill of sale only..”
Brett spotted this ad. There is one parts jeep and two running jeeps, though each of the running jeeps has issues.
“I have 3 cj5 jeeps for sale. A 60,62,63 F-head 4cyl style. I bought them for a project but due to my disabilities Its hard to work on them anymore. The 1960 Is all original and runs but has a rod knock.I shut it down right away when it happened to save further damage. It has the hard top with the doors. Original front Seats(full bench) have been recovered. I have title for it.
I bought a 1962(Dont have title so thats the best date I can give of 62 jeep) with the 4 cyl. F-head that is supposed to be good. It’s a parts jeep.
I also bought a 1963,(with title) that has been modified with a 6 cyl. the firewall had to be cut to fit the engine. It runs well but has some leaks. It has a hard top with no doors. All original except the engine, and seats have been replaced with high back bucket seats. The rear seat in it was taken out of a subaru brat. Has roll bar. New gas tank. will be a good runner with a little work. I also have 1 spare 4 cyl F-head engine in the garage that is froze up, but complete for parts. just sat in the elements too long or so I was told from the seller.”
Apparently this runs. The body will definitely need work.
“1965 jeep tuxedo park iv. new floor structure from firewall to tailgate, new fuel tank, master cylinder. body rusty but runs good. Ran out of motivation for restoration. email any questions”
The jeep runs. Seller will throw in extra body, welder and welding supplies.
“I have a cj5 project that needs to go because I am moving and can’t take it with me. It is running but needs some serious rust repair. I have another body tub and parts to fix the jeep. I have just run out of time. The engine is a F134 4 cylinder engine that fires right up. This would be an excellent project for this winter. The set of 5, 31″ Bridgestone Dueller A/Ts are close to brand new and would cost you $780 bucks alone. Again there are many spare parts. Come out and take this fun project home with you. I might consider trade as well, let me know what you have, I am interested in firearms and possibly a running 4 wheel drive vehicle I can give to my parents for winter use. I also have a welder, helmet, welding rods and angle grinder to toss in so that you can get this thing on the road. I have a clean title in my name ready to sign over.”
This appears to be a time capsule stuck in the desert. It will need some work, but appears pretty straight (except for the bumper).
“Not very often you see one of these anymore. 1951 Willys Jeep 4WD, Has winch, rebuilt engine. Has been sitting for a while so may need some work. Includes 5-gal jerry cans on back. What a great project. $3,000 OBO. Open to trades on generator, animals or tools…no guns please. I am listing this for someone else so please text JEEP and a return phone number to nine two eight-three eight six-four zero four two and we’ll return call.”
I’m no expert on these, so I’m taking the seller’s word on the information below ….
