Gary shared this low-mile CJ-5, which rings in at 6,619 miles (assuming it hasn’t been run backwards). Given the overall condition, it seems probable that the mileage is accurate, though I’m surprised at the mods given its short work life.

“Selling a one registered owner 1961 CJ5. 6k ORIGINAL MILES. I bought from original owner 20 some years ago. Still in his name with ORIGINAL NJ title . This CJ5 is as good as you could ever find. ORIGINAL EVERYTHING including tires. ( Goodyear Suburbanites). He used it to plow his drive and go to town. Parked it in heated basement with chains still on it in 1983. Hasn’t been started in 40 years. A TIME CAPSULE”
It’s supposed to have a “new” Buick V6, but I imagine it is a rebuilt one? The body underside looks good.

“1959 Willy’s jeep. Needs some work but it does run. Serious inquiries only would like gone by end of weekend will take offers”
Daryl has listed this CJ-5 with an unusual hardtop. I assume it is home made. A lot to like here.

“1971 CJ5 V6, t14 and 18 transfer case. Runs drives and stops great. The guages even work. Been sitting in a garage since 1981. Just short of 34k miles on it. Lots of new parts just installed to get it back on the road.”
John shared this CJ-5. It’s listed as a 1952, but clearly is later than that. Not sure how much value is here, but it includes a plow.

Relatively rare, 7000 built of 70,000 CJ5s built over 4 year period. Unique enough to have a dedicated parts list and shop manual.
Sold as “a new kind of sports car”.
It is a CJ5, 4 wheel drive, but with various unique features such as:
1.Chrome trim and bumpers
2. Bendix servo brakes, much larger than standard
3. Single lever transfer case
4. Column shift
5. 2/3, 1/3 split seat
6. Alternator
It is an interesting, fun vehicle, in my wife’s family since new. It deserves to be restored”
This may have potential.

“1960 cj-5. Runs and drives well, but burns oil. Has rust spots due to its age, but not overwhelming. Sad to see it go, but do not have the time to work on it. Asking $6,000 obo. Would be interested in trading for a dual sport bike.”
