UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1500.

I’ve got a couple good guesses as to why the battery isn’t charging.  Both are a cheap fix.  This might be a good price.

“I have decided to sell my jeep willys. Its a 1960 with a 302 v8 engine in it. The engine is good but needs the cooling system worked on in it.For this I would prefer for someone to trailer it home due to overheating. It does have a few oil leaks which is typical for a jeep 50 years old. The body is in great shape with very little rust (like 5%) The interior is complete with newish seats and all gadges work. There is an electrical issue with the battery not staying charged but it should be an easy fix. Ive just lost interest and want a bike. This is a great jeep and would be an awesome project for someone with some time and very little money to invest.”

“This jeep has been completely re-done a few years ago. We did a ton of body work, new paint, new roll bar, re-covered front seats, and completely re-built motor. We put hours and hours into this thing…And we loved it.

It has been used as a hunting jeep and probably gets less than 100 miles on it per year. We have kept all the maintenance current and have no complaints. The motor is a Buick 225 6 Cyl. Four wheel Drive. 3 speed manual. There is 81,292 miles on it but since the motor was re-build in 2005 we have put less than 500 miles on it.

Being so old, there are a few kinks. There is a slight oil leak that we can’t trace. It isn’t bad so we just ignore it. The brakes need to be done but worked well enough for inspection last year. It also has a few scratches in the paint, as it was used for off-road. The tires are in good condition and there is no spare. We do have an extra rim, but there is no tire to go with it. We have soft doors that we will include but they are not assembled. The speedometer doesn’t work.”

It is spring over, it has a offset flanged Dana 44 with 4.88 gears and a detroit locker in the rear, A model 27 with a power lock in the front, 350 chevy target master crate engine with four bolt mains, Sm420 truck four speed with a super low 7.1 first gear, model 18 twin stick transfer case, Jeepster commando hood and grill, custom dash, Warn 6000 lb winch, power steering, power brakes, full cage, two fuel tanks, spare tire rack with two 5 gallon fuel cans, front spot lights, rear lights, fender flares, rear tow hitch, front tow bar, soft top and bikini top.I have some small extras to also go with it. This price includes an overdrive and a full cage.  Looks like a solid buy, even if just a parts jeep.

“I have a last year Willys CJ5 in good shape but has beem parked inside for the last few years. Needs a little work / cleanup. Has Holley 500CFM 2 bl that needs bowl gaskets. Has a Ford 289, crossover power stearing and tilt column. about 2 inch lift and roll cage. 3 spd with Warn Overdrive. Will have pictures in a few days. Offers or trades possible for guns, tools or Ranger / Bronco II stuff. Comes with differant tires, excellent 31 x 10.50 x 15 on chrome spokes.”

I haven’t seen a top quite like this.  The jeep looks very nice!

“1961 Jeep in excellent shape. Engine is a F-134 Hurrican, 4 cylinder, runs great. Body is in great shape. Gauges, brakes, brake lights, tail lights, turn signals, head lights and horn are working with no need for repair. This vehicle is ready for recreational activities.”
