Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. It looks like a fine jeep for only $2200. I’m not sure the ‘crawler’ poses are the best way to sell this jeep.

This might make a good restoration project.
“1957 Jeep Willys cj-5 with hydraulic snowplow is in original condition. The jeep has been stored inside most of its life. It has a Hurricane f-head 134 14 motor with 6 volt system. It has a T-90 3 speed transmission, Dana 18 duel stick transfer case, Dana 25 front axle and Dana 44 rear axle. Overall condition is very good for the age. UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $175.
This might be a good deal on a source of parts.
“no engine or windshield but plenty of other parts plus a winch it is frozen but fixable no tires but i do have a huge tire pile so I think we could find some to fit there is a transfer case all axles and wheels no seats but I do have a pair that might fit and i do have some parts in the shed IE: a front grill 2 extra hoods and a generator plus a few odds and ends in the shed all for 175.00 firm very cheap for the lot”

This appears in good shape. The mileage is listed at just over 27,000 miles. It’s got some mini terras also.

“Very sharp 1957 Willys Jeep with original drivetrain. This is a great offroad toy and can be driven on the street as well. This is a small price for such a classic! Will consider trade for a muscle, classic, or sports car.”
This might be a good deal. A running jeep + a pretty complete chassis.

This might make an interesting rebuild, assuming the body isn’t too bad.
“We have here a good running solid 50 year old Willys Jeep. Original miles 20,000 was used on farm and stored inside until I bought it 12 years ago. I have never put plates on it and only used it to plow my own driveway. I have had it stored out side the whole 12 years but never on the road in salt. I am selling due to knee surgury and unable to work the clutch in the small cab thus I had to get a full size truck to plow with. This 4 cyl Jeep plowed better that the full size truck with the V-8 engine. Would like to see this go to a new home and be restored – the old truck deserves restoration – or just to go ahead and plow for another 50 years.”
