About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“The old Jeep outside of the Use Again Store! Fully complete with engine and transmission still installed. No paperwork, no VIN, not a whole lot of other information available! Come check it out!”
“This is a 1965 Kaiser Willys CJ-5 with a Hurricane 4-cylinder as well as a half cab, and an uncommon dome light on top. Looking for $1000 Or best offer. Pros It’s cool It has a clean title and is the ORIGINAL title Has a snow plow and I believe a willys branded hydraulic pump for the plow Has a rare dome light Has a half cab Has a bunch of good parts and semi good parts! …and bad parts if you’re into that… It is complete other than the natural weight reduction Has a factory heater And the frame is good
Cons DOES NOT RUN DOES NOT DRIVE WILL NEED TO BE PUT ON A TRAILER Tub is VERY rusted out, and the motor is stuck. It definitely a parts deal or a project.”
No battery, so unclear if this runs or how long it has been sitting. That said, the seller is correct. This a pretty stock jeep with a Koeng hardtop. The rear passenger quarter panel does have some bondo.

Here are some slides with jeeps currently for sale on eBay. The first one is an unusual tour jeep that I hadn’t seen previously. It’s somewhere at least semi-tropical, based on the upper right tree.
Matt’s selling this stock CJ-5. He wanted to give eWillys’ readers a first shot at it (thanks Matt!). This is sold with a bill of sale only, though it does have a serial number.
“Up for sale is my 1964 CJ5. This is a very original CJ5 that still wears its original president red paint. Odometer reads 2,900 miles. This Jeep came from the family of its original owner who used it as a runabout on his farm. It does not currently run but everything is there and it should run with a bit of work. I did open up the transmission to make sure everything was okay and it was like new inside. I believe it was parked in the 80s. Unfortunately it was parked in a damp part of the barn so the tub has a decent amount of rust. Front floors are completely rotted out including the toolbox floor. Rear floor and wheel wells have a few bad spots but are usable.
The rest of the jeep is in pretty good shape and the front fenders, hood, grille and windshield are very nice. Tailgate is nice too and still has the original 4 wheel drive stencil on it. Frame looks to be solid with just a little rot in the rear crossmember/bumper. 60/40 bench seat with original fabric. Tailgate chain covers are still intact. Really a time capsule of a CJ5. Nothing has been cut up or modified. This Jeep is perfect for someone who loves patina/original paint survivors and is willing to go through it mechanically, put some new front floors in it and enjoy it just the way it is. That was my plan but I just don’t have the time. Asking $4500. Sold with a bill of sale only. It does have a serial number. Located in Connecticut. Thank you”
This has potential. The stock hardtop and Koenig (?) bed extension look in good shape. The 0-8 King Seeley speedometer still has its needle, too.
“Family has decided to sale Grandpa’s Jeep CJ5.Was running when parked in the shed. I put a wrench on the crank and it rolls over easy. $3000 or best offer.”
“Just a clean old Jeep with a ton of new parts. Here are a few of the bigger ones.
Rebuilt T14 transmission and transfer case
Front disc brake upgrade
4 new 31×10.50 tires
New fuel tank and fuel lines
New wiring harness
New master cylinder and rear brakes
New wiper motor and windshield
And the list goes on!!”
John shared this CJ-5 with a Meyer-style half cab, a plow, and no paperwork. This one lacks the battery box lid (making it a 64 or later), but has a WILLYS tailgate (which was halted for 1963 models). My guess is that this is a mid-1960s CJ-5 to which someone added an older or replacement tailgate.
