This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Maury shared this nice looking CJ-5. The current bid price is $11,000 (with 6 days to go). The stripes are consistent with a 71/72, but an original 73 ought to have a different stripe style, shouldn’t it? Maybe it is a 72 titled as a 73? “This 1973 Jeep CJ-5 is said to have undergone a twelve-year refurbishment completed in 2021 that involved refinishing the exterior in yellow, re-trimming the interior in black vinyl, and installing a replacement 304ci V8 linked to a three-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Equipment includes 15” wheels, manually locking front hubs, a dual exhaust system, a black soft top and doors, Renegade graphics, black wheel arch extensions, and a roll bar. Acquired by the seller in 2022, this CJ-5 is now offered in Nevada with service records and an Arizona title in the seller’s name.”

“This 1978 Jeep CJ-5 was acquired by the seller in 2014 and subsequently fitted with a 258ci inline-six and refinished in red. Additional work is said to have included a rebuild of the three-speed manual transmission, an overhaul of the axle and transfer case components, and a refresh of the braking components. Additional equipment includes 15” wheels, 31” tires, front disc brakes, Bilstein shocks, front bucket seats trimmed in black cloth upholstery, three-point front seatbelts, and rear lap belts. This CJ-5 is now offered with parts receipts, an owner’s manual, and a clean Michigan title in the seller’s name.”
Bill spotted this one. It appears to have a 1955 or 1956 CJ-5 chassis (reversed front springs and has a PTO bar setup in the back), but with an M-38A1 body (though the grille is CJ).

“This 1967 Jeep CJ-5 is finished in white over black vinyl upholstery and powered by a 225ci Dauntless V6 mated to a three-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. It is equipped with a black soft top and doors, along with a roll bar, a Badlands winch, a spare tire carrier, a Hi-Lift jack, 16″ steel wheels, Warn manually locking front hubs, and a K&N air filter. The truck was acquired by the seller in November 2021, and subsequent work reportedly included rebuilding the cylinders heads and a valve job in addition to a refresh of the steering system and replacement of the water pump, fuel pump, and carburetor. This CJ-5 is now offered at no reserve with owner’s and service manuals, partial service records, and a clean Oregon title in the seller’s name.”

“This is a 1956 willys Jeep. Civilian variant of the M38A1 military Jeep. It’s a southern Jeep with a TN title. No mileage on the title because it’s exempt. The cluster has 8k on it. Car starts up runs and drives. Just tuned up with a new carburetor. Tub is steel and is mint with no rust. Frame is also immaculate and had been completely under coated. We have been using it as a beach cruiser. Car has a little Bimini top for the summer. Powered by the original 4cyl. 134cid/70hp 1bbl. Front axle is a Dana 25 and the rear axle is a Dana 44. Tranny is a T90 3 speed. Not trying to field a million questions come look at it. Cash in hand for a ride. Needs some love but not much”
