Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “I bought this jeep in 2015 and made all repairs then. My Jeep is in 100% running condition and was driven for a year before I bought another 4 wheel drive.
It was parked for the last year and its not what I need anymore. All the drive train was inspected and repaired as needed. Brake shoes, drums, wheel cylinders, brake lines were replaced. Rebuilt carburetor, new starter, bronze radiator, Electric fan kit,
All driveline U joints including front axles U joints were replaced. 2 new truck batteries. New set of 5 Goodyear wrangler tires. The instrument panel has been rebuilt, new heater fan motor, fuel pump, wiper motor, turn signals repaired, new light fixtures, UPGRADES; vintage day lighters, bull bar, tire rack, extra roof rack, full size roll bar, fuel tank carrier, electric fuel pump, extra marine fuel tank mounted and connected . New winch, with sling, extra long steel cable, and snatch block.
In case your interested in restoring the jeep because the body is rusted but I have located a good used tub for $1250.
The Washington title is clear with current tags and in my name.”

“1957 cj6 willys jeep
Very rare to the northeast, this is the longer wheelbase version of the cj6, similar to the cj8 scramblers.
12v system
I believe it is a Buick v6 that came in it from the factory with a 3 stick 3speed manual.
I had it running 2 years ago when I bought it, wouldn’t take much time to clean carb and put some new fuel in. Floor has been patched, bodys in ok shape. Frame has one spot that needs attention. Have the soft top frame and soft doors for it, no canvas. Has old mechanical plow pump and controls, think my blade off another jeep would fit for a little more money if interested. Kept under cover since I’ve owned it. Hate to see it go but I’ve got too many projects and no time. Good to restore or use at camp. No title but will give bill of sale

“Ive got a 1970 Cj6 with a 4 cyl and manual trans. Was running but has been sitting. I have videos of it running. Was always used on the hunting lease so no title but can put you in contact with a title service that i have used in the past if youre trying to get it on the road. Has rust so the body isnt the best but makes a great hunting jeep. $1000 obo.”

“Update 8/24 – compression test all good. Running much better now with the timing set. Carb still needs tuning but can drive down the road now, plenty of power.
Original – 1967 CJ-6. That’s right, 6. I picked this up recently and am contemplating a build but wanted to test the waters to see if it’s worth more to someone else. Has Chevy 305, Holly 600 with a Buick steering column and transmission.
