This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1966 Jeep CJ6. It has a Dauntless V6 225ci with a 3 speed. Purchased new from Charlottesville Tractor Company. I have the original bill of sale. I purchased it as a project and now it’s time to move on to the next one. It has a clean Virginia title and antique plates I’ll let go with it. Here’s a list of what’s been done.

“Selling my 1973 Jeep CJ-6.
This Jeep has been over most of the trails in Northern California like Rubicon and Fordyce and did them with ease, but it’s been sitting for the past few years now.
A Chevy 350 was swapped in (There is no SMOG checks for a 1973) along with an automatic transmission.
AFI Fuel injection was added so it does not stall out off road and actually starts in the winter.
Brand new (well, a few months old) 35″ BFG tires and Procomp wheels. This Jeep use to run 38” tires but I went smaller.

It looks like an entry/exit for rear passengers has been cut into passenger side.

(11/26/2017) Looks in good shape.
“1957 Jeep Cj6 Willys. Completely stock. Frame off restoration completed before I owned it. The original Dauntless 134 was completely rebuilt about 1000 miles ago. It runs perfect. Everything works. It drives very nicely. Original 3-speed trans, manual drum brakes and manual steering. Paint is in nice condition. The prep on the paint could have been better and it does have bondo in places. However, it looks really clean. It has a winch on the front and a very nicely built roll cage. If you are looking for a stock CJ-6 that hasn’t been too modified and is not $15,000 this is the jeep for you. They only made 12000 of them in 1957. Super rare Jeep. These are 101″ Wheelbase. So much more room inside and ideal wheelbase for rock crawling. Also comes with a Bestop soft top and doors that has never been installed but seems to be missing a few of the tubes needed. We bought this as a project for my son and we are heading a different direction. May be open to trade for a Toyota pickup.”
