This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Up for sale is my 1961 Jeep CJ-6 4×4. The original engine runs like a champ, transmission and transfer case shift great and the 4×4 works as it should. This has been a project so it does need a little work. It has rust on the floors, rockers, tailgate, windshield frame, and fenders, all of which are easy to find replacements and cheap. Mechanically everything works as it should except the brakes, but they will work before I let it leave my house. I have a new master cylinder on order. Shoot me a text with an offer, I don’t know how to price it as it’s a pretty rare model and I’m not a Jeep guy. I don’t have a title at the moment but a bonded title is inexpensive and easy to get. For the right price, I can take care of that as well. ”

(01/18/2016) Has the ventilating windshield.
“Collector and show quality vehicle. Rare Willys make, CJ6 model, and body style. FRAME OFF restored, nut and bolt, immaculate and in perfect condition. TX truck, no rust.
Hurricane 4 cylinder OHV engine, 3 speed floor shift manual transmission, 2 lever transfer case (4WD and low/high range), ‘Selectro’ front locking hubs, original new steel wheels and new tires including side mount spare, folddown and flipout windshield, vacumn wiper- driver, hand wiper-passenger. AND a front PTO powered original Koenig winch (also restored) with the additional floor lever to engage and throttle control cable.
Original front and rear seats, now recovered in leather with cowhide inserts very nicely done.
No top. Just as beautiful underneath. Good title. Must see to appreciate. Best I’ve ever seen.

“For sale: 1956 JEEP cj6. The jeep runs, drives, stops as it should. For a 60 year old car she is in really good shape. Pretty much everything underneath the body is new and has been upgraded. The only thing left to do is the body work. Body is in okay shape(minimal rust) but has its dents here and there. The plus side about this JEEP is it has all the expensive upgrades done to make it a good driver. No where else on Craigslist are you going to find an early cj6 with a V8, power steering, power brakes, 3.73 gears, hydraulic clutch, and tilt steering column. These are just some of the features that make this vehicle so desirable. Not only to mention it is a CJ-6 which is nearly impossible to find. Only about 2,500 made in 1956.

“I have the itch to start a new project and need garage space. I limped this ’74 CJ 6 home about five years ago and started out to freshen it up, but ended up doing a body off restoration. The body work and paint were professionally done. The frame was painted, and I had a custom roll bar and front bumper made. They are powder coated. It has the original I-232 and three speed transmission. Most everything else has been replaced. Steering box, Borgeson shaft, heavy duty springs, stainless custom bent brake lines, new drum brakes, gas tank, ignition coil, Weber carb, high capacity alternator, radiator, Speed Hut aluminum gauges, painless wiring harness, Corbeau seats, custom canvas top, warn m8000 winch, custom steel wheels, BF Goodrich all terrain LT265/75/R16 tires, custom receiver hitches front and rear, hilift jack, and on and on.
It drives and tracks better than new. I tried to keep the look as original as possible, and it would be fairly easy to take it all back to stock. I have saved most of the salvageable parts. I will wipe the pollen off and take prettier pics this weekend.”
