Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This looks in good shape.
“I have a 1956 Willy’s CJ-6 thats in pretty nice shape. It has the original 4 cylinder engine with a 3 speed with a warn overdrive. It has a few dents and dings but nothing that is a big deal. Its in good shape and has a nice black soft top. The 4 wheel drive works good.”
This seller also has a couple other running chassis.

This is a one-owner Jeep.
“Collectable 1966 Jeep Model CJ-6. 4 – Wheel drive made by Kaiser Jeep Corporation. 43,793 miles, one owner, always garaged, many extras like original jeep seat belts, belly pan, trailer hitch, spring assisted seats, locking hubs, gun racks, water can, rear seat, doors and top hardware, new battery, tires are 3 years old. Runs good.”

Here’s a very nice CJ-6 with some updates.
“I’m selling my 1968 Jeep CJ-6 I purchased in 1997 in Colorado. This jeep has been garage stored and had a 90% restoration before I purchased it. Jeep runs good. Inline six with weber carb. Dana 44 in rear with ARB Locker and Dana 30 in front with Detroit Locker. Jeep has custom dual tanks and bars for roll cage. Also has a Bestop soft top I purchased for $600. I purchased this jeep for $6500 and letting it go for $5200. A CJ-6 is similar to a CJ-5 but 18 inches longer in the middle, nearly the same wheelbase as the CJ-8 Scrambler. This is a rare jeep and very few are even registered.”

“THIS IS A RARE JEEP (1964 CJ6) NOT OFTEN SEEN. ALL ORIGINAL, NEW BATTERY, EXCELLENT UPHOLSTERY, 4 CYL., REBUILT CARB, REBUILT REAR END (4:27 GEAR RATIO), 3 SPD MANAUL, LOCK OUT HUBS, NEW FACTORY COLOR PAINT. CLEAR TITLE. $5450.00 OR BEST OFFER. Needs master cylinder, tires, tail lights hooked up, heater core has minor leak. Also for sale seperately is the full “Koenig” hard top and doors in excellent shape painted to match ($1200.00). (05/24/2010) Brett spotted this nicely restored CJ-6 with a unique looking paint job.
“Up for sale is a RARE 1959 CJ-6. This vehicle has been restored and has no rust. It is painted and marked in air force Blue. It has a 289 V8 motor. It runs and drives well. New gas tank. This jeep also has the rare Hard top. The person I bought it from clamed it was a Flight Line jeep. I have no documation on this. This is a must see if you are looking for a CJ-6. $6500.00 or best offer.”

“V6 225 Buick that runs excellant. 3 speed with the Warn overdrive which makes it pretty rare. Carb was rebuilt and I just put in a new gas tank. Has custum bumpers that support huge pipe rack. It’s in great shape, I’ve been driving it all spring and summer. Seats are in good shape. No emails please. I might swap for an old convertible in similar condition. I have some tops for it but they are for CJ5 or 7’s along with the doors, I never fooled around with them.”
