These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. John took the time to scan Male Call comic strips that contain jeeps and post them at his google page. Surprisingly, most of the drawings appear to be Ford GPs. You can view the cover of the book here.
He writes, “My Dad had a copy of this printing of Milt Caniff’s Male Call and had it stashed in the back of a dresser drawer. Fair game for a 12-year-old when I ‘discovered’ it in ’64. Don’t know what happened to his copy. Saw a copy on Amazon and grabbed it. I scanned all the images that include all or part of a Jeep in the strip. Consider this a fresh look, enjoy!”
According to the description, on the back of this comic book is a picture of Roy, Dale and Bullet in a Jeep. No indication they are in Nellybelle or some other jeep.

This features two rocket launching jeeps, though they only somewhat jeep like. Maybe there are more jeeps within the comic.

I have posted this comic as a reminder that the term Jeep is found in conjunction with planes during world war two. I suppose I need to track that a little better, because there are a variety of literary references to “Jeep Planes”. There is no information about the comic in the description.

Paul writes, “I was digging around in the crawlspace today searching for some long lost item when I discovered a thin book with GI cartoons from WW2. The book’s by Milton Caniff (it was published in 1945) and features 112 GI comic strips drawn by Mr. Caniff and supplied weekly to military newspapers for the enjoyment of all branches of the service. I really enjoyed the attached Jeep comic and I thought you would also. After all, who hasn’t believed (at one time or another) the Jeep is more than a mere machine and is alive and aware of the tasks we ask it to perform? I can recall many times I’ve coaxed and pleaded with my Jeep to “Please get me thru this mud bog” or the always popular “Please, please start” on those frigid winter mornings [ed note: I am familiar with that coaxing]. Over the years I’ve talked, yelled, pleaded and praised my Jeep while it took me where I wanted (but not necessarily needed) to go.”

“”Giant&Kids” is a graffitti painted for a bar in its facade (exterior or outside pizarre) for accompaning the daily menu during the San Fermin “fiesta” at my hometown.Look for the flattie! ;-))
“JEEP” is a t-shirt which I hope it´ll available in a few days through my online shop or just directly dropping an e-mail to me. Obviously, the design is a Jeepster Commando C-101.
“BD384x4Story” is one of my comics for French magazine “4x4Story Spécial Jeep, with some of the characters: Pierre Pinifarine and his dog “GPS”, Francine Overland (the girl), Jean-Ignasi Cardan and his cat “Elvis”, Bob Autolite (that´s me…more or less!) and the jeeps, obviously! Although I´m still questioning me the name of some characters!!!”

Maggie’s grandmother spotted this funny cartoon. Note that she edited out the original vehicle model and superimposed “jeep” in its place.
According to Baldocomics.com, the strip is written by Hector Cantu and Carlos Castellanos and is about Baldo, “a daydreaming teenager who’s trying to be the coolest kid in school. In the meantime, he’ll settle for a good game of soccer and building the sweetest lowrider car. That’s the short answer. But Baldo is much more than that.”
If you are a regular reader of the CJ-3B page, you have likely seen Roberto’s drawings and maybe saw his CJ-3B, too. At CJ-3A.com you’ll see his work at the top left. If you haven’t, I’ve add a few images of his drawings and his jeeps below for your enjoyment. You can find Roberto in a variety of places on the internet, including his own website, his blog, another blog and online store. The first is a comic for “4×4 Story Magazine Spécial Jeep” issue 26, Mai-Juin 2009. It is a French bimonthly magazine, based on the adventures of collectors and restorers of jeeps. Original size, 21 cms. x 14,8 cms.
This is a commissioned drawing ordered cartoon for a French customer, over cardboard. The characters which appear on this are the customer, driving his Willys jeep “Follow Me”, from WW2. He´s accompanied by his wife and son. Acrylics over carboard. Dimmenssions: 42 x 29.7 cms.
This is a logo drawn for a page on jeep Willys MB/Ford GPW of World War II. Pencil and computer on paper.
