UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3950.
I believe this is a DJ-3A has been changed to four wheel drive, though it’s listed as a ’56 on the Ad title and a ’65 within the text of the Ad.
“1965 WILLY’S JEEP with a Chevy engine in excellent condition.”

“1965 WILLY’S JEEP with a Chevy engine in excellent condition.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1200.
Here’s a cheaply price DJ-3A, though it’s got a 22r Toyota Motor in it. This was listed for $1000 in February 2010. I suspect this was bought and is now being resold.
“1957 jeep willys overland has 4cyl 20r toyota motor and automatic transmission starts and runs will need some work to be a solid driver also needs new windsheild glass brakes work may need to be bled selling for dad asking $1200.00.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1200.
(11/26/2009) The seller would like to trade this jeep as part of a trade for a Cargo Trailer. This is a no tailgate DJ-3A. This appears to be a great price.
“JEEP: 1956 WILLY’S DJ3-A. Needs the bodywork finished and painted. Body is in good shape. Not wrecked or rusted out. Floorpan is great. Engine is a 4-cyl 1971 Ford, but runs like a top! Short exhaust w/cherry bomb. Roll bar and hardtop included. Aluminum mag wheels. Needs tires. Windshield is cracked, but would be easy to replace. Clear title in my name. Very unusual model. Same body style as Willy’s MB/Ford GPW. Would trade for approx $1200 +/- toward a trailer.”
UPDATE: Was $2500. **Status Unknown**
It’s not totally stock, but it sure looks nice for the price.
“Titled as a 1947 CJ. Ford 4cyl motor and 4 speed manual transmission. Full aluminum Meyers top and doors. Bucket seats in front, rear jumpseat, rollbar, heater. Runs great, crack in windshield glass. Fuel pump is a little weak as it loses prime if not started for a few weeks. Fun vehicle. Take the top off and flip the windshield down in the summer.”
This has been available for a few weeks, but I somehow missed it.
“1962 Willys Jeep DJ-3A. This is a Dispatcher Jeep which was the same as the CJ-3A except for being two-wheel drive. Currently registered and operating. Has a Willys flathead four cylinder engine and three speed transmission. This is a good restoration project, or an excellent candidate for a Buick or Chevy V-6. Comes with a later model Dana postal Jeep rear axle (new 4.56:1 gears / center pumpkin), and postal Jeep front axle if you want to use with modern wheels and brakes. Clear Nevada title. Call Don at 775-742-5089.”
I’m not sure what model this is. The windshield appears unusual.
“this is a hard to find 1956 willis jeep 4×4 with a V6 Motor 3-speed trans $3,500.00 FIRM PLEASE CALL 229-291-7664 FOR MORE INFO ( NO CALLS AFTER 9 PM )”
UPDATE: **SOLD** was $2900
(02/17/10) This was converted to 4w and it appears it’s sprung over as well.
“1960 Willys Jeep DJ3A converted to 4 wheel drive with late ’60’s CJ parts. It’s got a Buick “odd fire” V6. Engine, front and rear ends work but there is no radiator or steering. One piece of metal was cut out to make everything fit but parts were kept along with the stock steering wheel and colum if wanted to make it stock again. A little TLC and you got a runner. $3200 obo, call to discuss and make offer.”

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3500
I can’t tell if this is a DJ-3A or a mis-marked 1947 CJ-2A.
“I have a 1957 Willys jeep for sale. It has a chevy 350ci engine, the rest of the drive train is original jeep. 3 speed tranny with 31 inch tires. Newer jeep seats and fuel tank. brand new bikini top. Has a 9000lb winch mounted on front with receiver hitch out back. Goes just about any where you would want to go. ”
Bruce forwarded me links to two images of Surreys he has posted.
The first one is from the Virgin Islands in 1958 and shows a DJ-3A in the center of the picture and a DJ-3A Surrey at the lower left. The second image shows 5 or more Surreys sitting at rental lot Hawaii, the surrey in center front
is a 1963 with 13″ tires and babymoon hubcaps.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay
Bruce spotted this unusual jeep utility addition. The seller notes they scrapped the jeep, but then says he was just kidding and is keeping the jeep (in other words, jeep is not for sale). Anyway, the hotdog vendor unit is certainly an unusual feature!
“Up for sale is a hot dog cooking insert for a willys jeep. Scrapped the jeep(was a little rusty) but thought the hot dog unit was worth saving. Has lots of places to cook stuff and it fits like a glove. Check out the pics. some modification to the wheel well on the drivers side to accomodate what looks to be a sink.probably could remove this piece so no cutting wheel well.Has all the valves and burners I think never tried it out. could use some nobs for the temp control. from the front of the jeep you can not tell this is in the back, and from the back you can not tell its a jeep. from the side it looks like it should be there. happy bidding ! Only kidding about scraping the jeep, the jeep does not go with it. pickup in howell nj only. Pay in full and will hold inside as long as needed. this thing would be the hot diggity dog of the trail rides. good luck! Bill”
