This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “willys l134 engine for sale $400 obo. turns freely, has newer rear main seal. head looks good, gasket had no blowouts. cylinder walls unscratched. bored .060 over. previous owner said it was running when the clutch went kaput. comes with flywheel and clutch housing, distributor, and manifolds.”

Jordan spotted this unusual combo. This package creates an early jet powered boat using a Kermath modified L-134 and a Hanley Hydrojet. I’ve included a Kermath brochure and links to the development of the Hydrojet by Keenan Hanley at the bottom of the post.

Most likely an M-38 or CJ-3A engine based on the oil bracket. Great deal.

“I have two Willys Jeep motors for sale. I believe one is a 1946 and the other is a 1948. One is very complete with the fan, manifolds & carburetor. The other motor has the manifolds, generator and bell housing but no carb. They will both need to be completely rebuilt but have been covered and dry.”

“This is a willys L134 Engine, short block. Not sure the year of the engine, it was removed from a 1948 Willys CJ2A.
Pros- Ran great when pulled, I have a video of it running. Great oil pressure, also have a video.
Block is solid, I can not see any cracks or leaks. It has been rebuilt at one point in its life, the cylinders sleeved back to stock standard 3.125” dia.
Only what you see in the pictures is included in the sale. All internal components are in the engine. Head, Carburetor, Fuel Pump, oil filter canister, oil filler tube not included in the sale.
Cons – One of the exhaust manifold bolts is broken off. One of the pistons has a chipped edge on the top groove, see picture. No shipping local pick up. $450.00 or Best offer, Cash or PayPay only. No pics, but this sounds like a good price if you want an upgrade over your existing engine. I’d put this in Biscuit if it weren’t so far away.

“Chevy II 153 4 cylinder from 1962/63(?). The motor has been built as a high performance engine…has a 4 bbl intake, dual point distributor, header and (I think) the big valve head. Runs great and had it in an old Jeepster but replaced it with a V6. Seem to be hard to find as a lot were scooped up and built for dirt track racing. Ran fine in the Jeepster with good oil pressure and no over heating (has new water pump).”
