This does not run.

“Up for auction is my 1959 Jeep FC-170. It does NOT run. I bought it to be the “shop truck” for one of my business’. I can use the space now more than the truck.
I have a clean California title for it. On the title, it states that the truck is a 1959 model and first sold in 1959. The license plate and vin numbers match what is on the title.
I found this truck sitting on a large ranch here in Northern California. There is 60,500 miles on it and is ok condition for being an old ranch truck.
So far I have done the following; New spark plugs, New points, New condenser, New cap and rotor, New choke cable, Rebuilt the carburetor, Brand new dual diaphragm fuel pump (fuel and suction for windshield wipers), New fuel filter, Pulled the fuel tank, cut open, cleaned to new, welded back up, re-installed with new rubber straps, cleaned all hard fuel lines, and New ignition switch. All that is left is to address the cooling system. I would flush and replace water pump and thermostat. Im a firm fan of doing everything correct. I restore and build motorcycles so I bring that same attention to detail to everything I work on. (caseyandersonmotorcycles) to find on the net. The engine turns over nicely and the transmission and transfer case shift just fine. From what I can tell all gauges work (at least, not broken).
Body is ok. The worst is the bit of rust on the roof where it meets the front windsheild (driver side). The glass is great. Yes, little dents here and there. Doors shut nicely. All linkages (steering, shifting, accelerator, etc) all move nicely”

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.

Glenn spotted this non-running FC.

“You are bidding on a 1959 FC-170 Willys Pickup.. It came out of Boulder City, Nevada owned by a miner. Been sitting for 20 years before I bought it 2 years ago. I have not tried to start it to see if it runs. It is a 6 cylinder flat head. Everything on the motor and running gear is original. Has custom made stacks. One is an exhaust stack and the other one is a coolant reservoir. It looks like it is all there as far as running gear goes. It has slight rust. Clear California title. It is registered in op. Couple of the side flat glass is cracked. What you see is what you get”

This appears to have potential.

“1959 Jeep FC 150 4×4
***IOWA LIFE VEHICLE – not going to be a rust free southern state vehicle
*** Project Vehicle
Hurricane F4-134 Engine – 3 Speed Transmission – 4×4 works great.

12V Generator – Headlights, taillights, turns, breaks, blower for heater, and wipers, and gauges all worked well. Ignition switch went out and it controls most of these so I disconnected them and clipped some of the wiring and did not re connect. My plan was to rewire the entire unit with new wires and I never got around to it. All the wires are hanging and could be hooked back up.

Runs and drives great. Have been driving it around town – starts up perfect every time and runs strong.

Unit does have some body and cosmetic work the COULD be done, if you chose. From looking at the pictures you can see most of the bad spots. All 4 corners have some issues – need work. I stuck a magnet to them and beat around on them – magnet stuck well some bondo in them. Floors are ate up pretty good and have temporary replacement steel over them.

1957 FC-150 St. Petersburg, FL **SOLD**

• CATEGORIES: FC150-FC170-M677 This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3450.

Unclear how serious the seller is about selling this project.

“I am contemplating getting rid of my 1957 Willys/Jeep FC150. FC stands for Forward Control, the engine is mounted right inbetween the passengers below the cab. This vehicle has the original 134 cubic inch 4 cylinder “F” head Hurricane engine, a T90 3 speed transmission and a T18 transfer case with lockout hubs up front. I had this vehicle shipped down from Minnesota 2 years ago and have done the following: cleaned/painted the back half of the frame, installed a new brake master cylinder, rebuilt the carburetor, installed new belts, and installed new leaf springs and shocks. This vehicle runs and drives and is truly unique. Not many of these vehicles left, even fewer located in the south. I also have an extra cab from a 1964 FC150 that is included in the trade/sale with just about all extra cab parts, such as doors, headlights, turn signals, dash, instruments and also includes a new $150 steering wheel. About 75% of the sheet metal work has been completed on the ’64 cab, which is almost finished. I also have a total of two regular single seats and brackets, and also an additional “dual” bench seat that can be installed on the passenger side. The windows are complete, as well as an extra plexiglass rear window. The windshield has some fogging, however a new windshield can still be purchased for this vehicle. All parts are included with the sale. Maybe interested in trading for another F100 project or an American V-twin bobber motorcycle or a possible ratrod project. Of course cash is king. This project definitely still needs a lot of work, however all parts are included. Two titles, a ’57 and ’64 also comes with this vehicle.”
