“1957 fc150, Jeep Is complete motor cranks over but won’t start. 6500.00 obo”
UPDATE: Status Unknown. Was $14,500.
Still some assembly required.
“This Forward Control 170 is just about ready for final re-assembly. Her body is almost fully prepped for paint and the running gear needs a few more pieces. She’s rust free and just needs wrenching time. Located in Portland, OR she is part of collection of projects owned by a serious restorer of everything Willys.
The body is in fantastic shape with 90 %+ of the work completed. The undercarriage looks fabulous, and no rust can be detected. The cab is ultra-solid, one door needs to be reskinned and she is missing the windshield. Previous owner engineered a forward tilting cab using a hydraulic ram, allowing access to the running gear. Most every item is available to finish the exterior, from bumpers to emblems.

Sam spotted this solid looking FC for auction.

“This 1959 Willys Jeep FC-170 is a cab-over pickup that is finished in green over green plaid upholstery and is powered by a 226ci Super Hurricane inline-six mated with a three-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. It was acquired by the seller’s father in 2016 and is believed to have spent much of its life in Michigan and Ohio. Equipment includes LED running lights, steel wheels with manually-locking front hubs, a side-mounted spare, mud flaps, Bosch gauges, and a heater. This Jeep Forward Control is now offered by the seller on behalf of his father with spare parts, a service manual, an owner’s manual, a brick from the Willys Overland plant smokestack, and a clean Ohio title.”
I’m not sure how many parts are included?

“This 1957 Jeep FC-170 (as is) for parts or restoration. No paperwork – No Title. 6 Cylinder, Standard Shift. $1500 of Best Offer.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** was $9000.
(06/10/2021) None of them run.
“For sale are 3 1959 Jeep FC170’s. All flatbed configuration. 2 vehicles are complete, the third is currently off frame as a restoration project. 2 titles are currently in hand, we are working on retrieving the third. Overall condition of the 3 is fair. Will need some TLC to get the 2 complete units to get running, they have been sitting for quite a few years. They were collected with the intension of full restorations, and as such, there are several new parts and additions available with the purchase of the vehicles. Figuring $9000 for the lot of parts and the 3 vehicles.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $399.

“I bought this FC bed out in western Nebraska with the intent of using it behind a cj10 cab.
That project changed hands and directions several times, and now I have an FC bed with no home for it.
I do consider chopping it to make it a different size for some other Jeep based pickup project.
But if someone needs it for an actual FC, that would be best.
It’s not pristine, so modifying it wouldn’t be a huge sin. But it’s solid enough that a real enthusiast might want or need it. Not many folks can say they’ve ever owned any forward control Jeep parts at all, so maybe you want it for bragging rights or to build a trailer for your flatfender.
I paid 500 several years ago, so I guess we can start there. Just my luck it’ll be worth 3000 and I still let it go for 500…”
Runs and drives.

UPDATE: Here’s an article published December 27, 1958, by the Honolulu Advertiser which tells the story of Henry’s gift to his wife.
Local writer William Drury poked fun at the Kaisers for their pink obsession in this May 31, 1961, column in the Honolulu Star-Bulletin:

Originally Published December 24, 2016: In 1958, Henry Kaiser gave his wife Ale a pink FC-170 for Christmas. I tried to find some additional information or photos, but didn’t have any luck.
A lover of pink, Henry Kaiser also had a colorful boat:
