“I’m looking at selling my FC . It’s a running driving stopping fc . It’s not a rusty bucket like so many are . I have cleaned it up and replaced a bunch of parts to make it a good truck . Rebuilt the steering bell crank , installed new weather strip ,has middle jump seat . Shifts very good just Rebuilt shifter , installed new side glass and felts . New door panel cards . cleaned up and repaired any floor rust . Fixed some cab rust and made it a solid rig . It’s still a bit of a project , but it’s at a point most anyone can run with it . Truck still needs work but it’s a lot of truck for the money .Previous owner did all new brakes to include, drums , wheel cylinders, drums, shoes , master cylinder . New front ujoints ,transmission has has new bearings seals . Transfercase has new deals . New emergency brake cables . Lots of new parts installed over the last year . Clear matching title .I have paper work and sale receipt dating back to 1959”

“One complete Jeep FC150 4×4 with trailer + additional FC170 cab, chassis, axles, spare engine, spare transmission, windscreens, windows etc. matching trailer made from rear end of FC150. Clear title. New tires 2 years ago with no use since. Good body condition especially cab corners with compound curved metal. Located in New Orleans. Great build project I cannot finish.”
UPDATE: This ad published in the Los Angeles Times, June 15, 1962, by the Alaskan Camper Factory, welcomed Dorothy and Louise back into the United States after their trip around the world in an FC-170 (with an Alaskan camper, of course).

Originally Published October 06, 2012: Highways Across the Horizon was written by Dorothy Rogers, who previous wrote Jeopardy in the Jeep. I received a copy of it in the mail last week. I knew the book was about traveling through Asia, but there were two things I didn’t know. The first think I learned was that she and her travel partner Louise, traveled all the way around the world, starting and ending in New York. The second surprise was their vehicle of choice: a FC-170 with a camper. Craig confirmed today that Dorothy and Louise piloted only the third known FC to make it around the world. I can’t wait to read about their adventure.

“Hello Everyone. I’m posting my 57 Jeep FC for sale. I have way to many projects going on so I’m thinning the garage out. I really hate to sell it but it is neccessary and would really like it to go to a good home. I purchased it about a year ago or so. As you can tell it’s been out in the elements and has been treated pretty roughly unnecessarily. She is very rough but is at least a foundation for a build. I really liked what roam auto did with there FC. If you have a way with metal it is possible to fix the cab and even swap it to another frame.
