About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“1962 Jeep FC170 DRW, (Dual Rear Wheel). Originally a tow truck. All original 6cyl engine and 3 spd transmission. Still has the rear PTO. Motor runs very good and it drives. The brakes need the master cyl replaced which comes with the truck. It is rusty but not as bad as most in the Midwest. Very restorable or put a bed on and use it to haul firewood or do farm chores.”
“looking to sell my FC-170 JEEP IS A CLASSIC WITH A LOT OF POTENTIAL. RUSTY BUT IT DOES TURN ON. BUYER IS WELCOME TO TEST DRIVE IT. MECHANIC ON SITE IF YOU HAVE ANY CONCERNS OR HAVE PROBLEMS AFTER YOU LEAVE. THIS IS A TRUCK THAT REQUIRES ATTENTION BUT IS WORTH IT.”

I took a look at this. I can send some other pics (Ann took them, but she’s busy at the moment so I can’t add them). If you have questions, drop me an email or contact Frank (see info below).
Frank and I tried to start it, but it didn’t start. It turned over strong and I verified a spark. It was getting gas, so I suspected it was flooded (and it was very cold outside). After I left Frank told me he was able to start it. It has a four speed and comes with an extra four speed (unsure of condition).
The front floors have a few holes as seen in the pic below (passenger side). I did not find any holes in the back rear corners.
Frank told me his brother had several jeeps. He may have assembled this DRW out of some of those parts or it may have been assembled by the previous. The issue is the serial number of 61568 23017, which, as I understand it, is a for an FC-170 rather than a Dually. Were FC-170s converted at the factory? I didn’t check for serial numbers and didn’t learn about the serial number issue until after I left.
From original ad: This FC is being sold by Frank King. The jeep runs and drives, but does need a spray of starter fluid to get going. The owner fixed up the exterior, but didn’t touch the interior. It includes an FC-170 bed that wouldn’t have been original to the dually. You can contact Frank at 509 999 6544 or email him at Frankckingatty@aol.com.
In the photo below there appear to be other jeep parts besides the bed.
“This is not a j20 but a Jeep FC 170 cabover 3/4 ton pickup. Pretty much original, has an oversized fuel tank mounted in original location. The tank needs to be cleaned. Engine runs good from aux fuel source. odometer shows under 20,000 mi. Seats are at upholsterer to be covered in red fabric. Very little rust.
the pickup has not been driven in a long time, perhaps decades. No text or email, please , I cannot respond. ”
Tony Osmundson is selling these FCs. You can reach him at 563-380-2740. he wants to sell them as a package. Three have titles. He hasn’t started them in a few years.
Glenn spotted this one. Has a light amount of rust, but still worth a look.

(Google it, Jeep FC150 or Jeep PUG)”
“FC-170 DRW in need of restoration. This truck is all original, it’s mostly complete, but the motor is currently disassembled. It has it’s original 6-cylinder 226 Super Hurricane. This has the T-98 4-speed transmission and a dual-cylinder hydraulic dump bed. It is 4×4 and has a PTO off the trans to drive the pump. It rolls, but doesn’t stop or drive. You will need a trailer. I’ve got too many other projects going and won’t ever get to this one. I have the title. ”

Mike pointed this FC my direction. Note the well done window system replacement. Looks like a Fairmont setup. Maybe this was a Hy-Rail at some point??
