Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Here’s another look from the front of the jeep. This photo was taken a few years ago when it was inside.
Ron Day found this old photo he took showing a group of spectators and their vehicles at a race sponsored by the Jeep Jockeys Jeep Club sometime in the late 1970’s or early 80’s. This is west of Yakima, Washington near the small community of Tampico.
Here’s an odd vintage photo.

The two-tone truck was front page news in the April 1956 issue of Willys News.
UPDATE: Sold on eBay for $26.00
“This auction consists of two items: a heavily illustrated 68-page Jeep Vehicle Catalog and Parts Price List number 12 dated January 1956 for a company called Jeep Service Dipl.Ing. E. Stahl & Co. in Vienna, Austria, AND a 12-page parts price list dated 1 January 1956 for the US Military Model MB jeep from the same firm. The smaller catalog is attached inside the front cover of the larger 6 x 8-¼ inch catalog.”
Unfortunately, the seller didn’t provide the entire photo in one shot. It felt like it was raining like that on Saturday on Long Island!

In April of 1956 farmer Henry Miller purchased a second jeep, but this time he added a top to keep him warm.
