Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “VINTAGE MENU LAS BRISAS HOTEL 1966 ACAPULCO MEXICO
This 1966 vintage menu is from one of ACAPULCO’S more famous hotels, famed for their “ROOM SERVICE BY JEEP”. It measures 9 1/2″ wide by 14″ long, closed. Excellent condition with just minor soiling on the rear cover.”
My Aunt dropped by for a visit last night, so no posts until about mid day on Tuesday.
Here are a couple vintage shots to entertain until I get to updates courtesy of Charles. The first three are Belgian army photos.
Charles sent a picture of this wagon. After some research, I learned the unusual modifications were completed by John Jennison, who was an Australian engineer, car builder, motorcycler and more. He had a vision for a jeep as a sports wagon. More information can be found at this vintage caravans forum and at Brendan’s this-old-jeep website.

Hugh sent a couple pics of his jeep with the trailer his father’s calls “Odie” for OD Green. They are about to start its restoration.

“Vintage, original “snapshot” photograph circa 1940s, measures 2 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ in very good condition. Photo taken by a member of the “205th Transportation Battalion” which was stationed in “Stuttgart, Germany”.”

There’s an interesting article about Vic Hickey’s supercharged flat fender in the February 1955 issue of Car Craft Magazine. The cover shows a great color photo of the supercharger. Using a GMC Supercharger, the Vic made a variety of changes to deal with issues related to the installation.
